Just started reading it but if seems very informative.

My dad was a grain and dairy farmer, so I recognize honest and valid information as the authors present it. They present the information in an easy to follow format. The details covered leave very few, if any, issues not discussed. It has brought me quickly up to speed on the subject and will in the future be a resource to answer questions that will come up. Excellent read!

Nikki and Scott Royer do a very good job of laying out the essentials of raising beef cattle. Organized in five major categories, the reader can "jump" around from chapter to chapter depending on what they are most interested in. Well done and highly recommended to the novice just getting interested in raising cattle, whether for personal home food, or for raising cattle as a business. Bravo!

Excellent book! Clear, concise, and they hit all levels of experience and understanding: from novice to expert. I am still going through the book and I am just starting out raising beef cattle and, with this book's help, I think I'll have an easier time of it. Thanks!

I am a farm girl and my hubby isn't. It is our dream to operate a small cattle farm and this book is very informative and he has learned a lot by reading it! And it was a good refresher for myself as well. Very good read and not boring either!
