Second mug I have purchased for my partner - - the Sherlock Holmes one is worn out from love and use after 5 years or so! This one is fun and colorful, and sure to be loved by any MPFC fan!

This is the most beautifully illustrated, colorful and large Monty Python mug you will ever find containing the most extensive number of quotes. I absolutely love mine. I have had it for a year now and I cannot be separated from it. It is my constant companion for coffee, water, root beer, or any other beverage I might be inclined to imbibe. It holds a full 12 fluid ounces. That is not measured to the rim so it will easily hold a standard soda can. I wanted to get another and am dismayed to find it is out of stock and no expected date for restock can be determined. The Unemployed Philosophers Guild seems to have abandoned it. They do not even list it any longer on their site. I hope that is not true and I have signed up to have Amazon send me an email when it is back. I went looking around and not only will you find nothing even remotely comparable you will be disappointed at the selection. I was. I did find a site called Monty Python Online Shop that did list the mug as sold out. At another site, unoriginally called Monty Python Online Store (both sites have a suspiciously similar appearance), I found a mug called the Cloud Woman Mug that has a beautiful reproduction of a Terry Gilliam illustration. I’m thinking about getting it. Both sites are associated with the alleged official Python web site at MontyPython.com. I really hope this fantastically beautiful and funny mug becomes available again.

Being a former Brit, and in his fifties, I got this mug to forever remind me of the special humor of Monty Python. I missed their series because I was too young, but getting older I got to watch the movies and I realized just how good these guys were. The quotes on this mug represent some of their classic lines that bring a smile to my face. It’s a big mug, but I’ve got big hands. With my history with mugs, I’ll be taking special care of this one. It’s a must for all Monty Python coffee and tea drinker fans.

The mug is a paler orange than the seller has pictured and has pretty detailing on the handle that you can't see in the stock photo. I accidently broke a mug of a friends. So, I bought this as a gift to replace the broken one. My friend loves Mighty Python and loves this mug. Nice size, good weight, sturdy and perfect for Mighty Python fans :) He loves it.
