Works well for me
The VCELINK Cat6 RJ45 Surface Mount Box Shielded 1-Port is well designed and easy to install. I have some WiFi antenna installations outdoors that should be grounded by using shielded Cat6. These surface mount boxes provide a convenient location to tap off the ground in the shielded cable from the antenna. I can confirm that the metal shield housing around the jack is electrically connected to the cable restraint crimp at the other end of box. So it is very convenient for me to add a ground wire to the crimp before crimping and attach the other end of that ground wire to a ground rod in the installed in the dirt. I protect the box itself by tying the box & cables to near the top of a stake, then sliding a piece of 4" PVC pipe with a cap over the upper end of the stake.

Works great!
I needed to get ethernet from my trailer back to my she shed where my wife quilts. I tried just using a WiFi extender but that did not work well trying to get a signal from my Airstream back to the shed. So, I drilled a hole in the metal frame around the screen inside of my window, installed a rubber grommet and passed a piece of ethernet through, attaching one of these surface mounts to my inside wall and the other lays inside my window. I connected a piece of ethernet to the inside to my router, and a piece outside to a box I installed on the ground outside my window that runs ethernet in conduit back to my shed. I then connected the ethernet to an access point in the shed and she now has a connect and good as if she were right next to the router.

Does what it says it does
Used these for surface mounted ethernet ports in my home. They were easy to wire up and haven't had any issues passing a signal or POE. The only complaint is that the adhesive didn't hold, so I had to screw them into the baseboards, which is probably how they should be installed to begin with. I would definitely recommend these.

C'mon high speed!!
These ethernet junction boxes fit the bill when I hard wired the house. They were easy to install, and discreet along the baseboard. Cost of these boxes made the quick project feasible.

Great Product.
The base had diagrams for both T-568A and T-568B on a sticker inside. I mistakenly wired it up for T-568A and it failed my testing with a cable tester because the other end was wires as T-568B. I then thought the diagram was wrong. Since the Blue-White and Brown-White pair are in the same positions for both, I inserted those pairs then wire by wire attached single wires to discover the T-568B diagram is correct. It was my mistake using the wrong diagram. The only advice I would give is drill an additional mounting hole in the back piece diagonally from one of the mounting holes on the RJ-45 end, and use it as well as one hole on the RJ-45 end. (Just my opinion)

Ever time i go to install one of these I'm like what's the pattern, flipped back to the page where i bought it and they clearly got a great image of it. After that it was punch punch and it was installed. Keep up the good work with the photos
