There is a small hole in cover that can fit a cord for heater
The media could not be loaded. Pros: very quiet, ultra clear, practical dimensions, easy to set up, bright light, sleek design, would look good with a variety of interior design styles.Cons: light isn’t dimmable (worried it’s too bright for my betta), limited access via cover in the top, pump only has one speed, view distorted at curved corners. This is a great small aquarium, my betta seems to be very happy since moving in. It wasn’t apparent from the description and photos that I would be able to run the heater cord through the lid, but there is a small hole just behind the power cord connecting the light that fits the heater cord perfectly. The minimal design is unobtrusive and the filter pump is very quiet.

PERFECT!!!
I absolutely love this tank. This is my 4th BiOrb tank. I really like this best because it has a larger hole in the top so I can fit a bigger centerpieces in it. This gives you more options for decor. I like that it has a full view on three different sides. I like that the one side is black to camouflage the heater. This tank is home to my samurai betta, snowflake, he seems to like it. All the biOrbs are so easy to set up. I think they are so classy looking. I’m hoping to get a bigger one some day.

looks cool but is bad
-very loud air pump no matter what I do.-light is very bright and not really suited for plants-internal filter carts they want you to buy are a scam and expensive. filter Medium is too small, and doesn't really need to be replaced like they suggest. Same with the sponge, you can rinse your sponges/medium in aquarium water and get a lot of life our them. Just a huge waste of plastic if you follow their suggestion of buy new filters everytime and is also counter productive to keeping a cycle since new bacteria needs to be established.- internal filter idea is interesting but will consume and kill nano fish due to how the intake works. killed quite a few of my fish.- cleaning is a pain due to small lid- adding heaters or anything else looks bad since there is no extra holes. have to keep lid off or slightly off for space.- air intake tube for filter is at bottom of tank, when it inevitably fails it will leak everywhere.I finally managed to get it in a functionally better place after heavily modifying it but you loose the minimal look in the process.my mods are -- removing the internal filter entirely, its easy to do just remove some screws. using small plastic sheets and aquarium silicon I sealed up the hole.- made a custom laser cut lid that has mounts for a better light and holes for whatever (air tubes, heater cords etc)- added a basic filter, in my case a small sponge filter but anything would work. worked great once tank was cycled.

Aesthetically pleasing
I upgraded to this tank and my fish seems to love it. I would have given it 5 stars however the light plugs into the pump which prevents me from using the light on a timer as I usually do since I’m not always home to turn the light on in the morning and off in the evening.

A balanced review for Betta owners
I see a lot of negative reviews about this tank, so I want to add a more balanced perspective for those considering buying this and housing a Betta inside. In summary, this is an incredible tank kit for those who take care of it properly.1. Pump/air flow is too strong for a Betta. The pump has no adjustment so you will need an air control valve between the pump and air stone to tone down the flow.2. Turn off the pump when feeding and simply drop your Betta food through the hole in the lid.3. I purchased the Biorb Red Forest decor set which is intended for 4gal tanks, but found that I could only fit half of the items inside: the starfish, one tree, one short plant, and the "stone" centerpiece. More than this and the tank is way too crowded for a Betta to have a comfortable home, IMO.4. You don't have to buy the Biorb filter replacements. You can find other compatible ones on Amazon for a quarter the price. It's just foam and carbon, you can even make your own if you're enterprising enough.5. I have no issue with the LED light. Yes it's bright, but it scatters nicely over the bubbles, and because it's centered in the tank my Betta can just swim to a corner to avoid it if he wants. I think people are unreasonably concerned about this light. The MCR is nicer because of all the color options, but the LED is fine as is.6. The pump I received with my Flow 15 is incredibly quiet when placed on a soft surface; in my case it's on a thin blanket that covers the top of my dresser where the aquarium sits. I barely hear it and it doesn't move. For those complaining about this pump, my guess is that it could possibly be an older model, defective, or on a surface that transmits vibrations loudly. I have never had a quieter pump before.7. For those complaining about algae and excessive cleaning. This is never the result of the tank itself. It's 100% related to light and cleaning (or lack of). Don't put near direct sunlight, do 25% water changes weekly, and 50% water changes monthly. Regularly scrub the inside and replace filters. I mean, come on. It's an aquarium. You can't expect it to do everything for you. Rating a tank poorly because you're lazy at cleaning is ridiculous.Hopefully this helps other potential buyers who are considering buying this for a Betta tank. With the proper care (including initial cycling), additions (air control valve and tube guard), and practical decor, it can be a stunningly beautiful home for your Betta.

Fish get caught in bubble tube
Pros:BeautifulComes with everything you needCons:VERY hard to cleanOpening too small to add a heaterRocks included collect slime even with weekly water change.Need 3 filters a month for a clean community tank as the filter is not very strong. (Requires subscription)Bubbler cover sold separately- REQUIRED. I’ve lost fish from them swimming into the bubbler and getting stuck.Light gets disgusting.Opening of tank is directly over bubble tube so careful where you drop food. All in all I would not purchase again at this high of a price, not worth it.

Easy
Love this aquarium. Was so easy to set up & stabilize the water. Perfect size tank for a Betta fish. I turn off pump when I feed so the water is calm. Replacing filter after 3 weeks so that will be an added expense. But so easy to do compared to other tanks. Overall, good tank so far.
