If you want to know if an umbrella does what it suppose to do, then you have to ask an Asian person living in the tropics. My wife is from the Philippines and wanted a good Umbrella to use while walking or while waiting for transportation to her work. After buying Umbrell from Target (I am not knocking off Target) it was not good enough to block the sun rays, it was not UV. Decided to buy one on Amazon, ordered this one and she is loving it. She said it's very good and keeps her head well protected and shielded from the sun.
