Great little light. Uses one easily obtained, common little AA penlight battery. Easily and quickly focuses from a broad round beam down to a sharp concentrated beam that projects the image of the actual LED. The quality is not stellar but certainly adequate for most situations. I would have given 5 stars for this 5 pack of little lights but only 4 of them worked so I thought a rating of 4 out of 5 was appropriate. I like the lights, (the 4 that worked), and I would order them again. (A few days later) UltraFire quickly sent me a replacement for the non-functioning light so the rating is back up to a 5, for what it is. It is an inexpensive Chinese led flashlight. It wasn’t meant to compete with a Surefire or Streamlight. These are great little led lights to throw in the glove box, range bag or your pocket. You won’t cry if you lose it or it’s destroyed but it works extremely well for 99% of the applications that you will use it for.

These are small and convenient. I bought 10 so there shouldn't be any shortage of flashlights. I like that it takes 1 AA battery. I haven't had time to test them. However I have plenty so, it shouldn't be an issue.

The Ying: All good so far. The flashlights appear and function as described in the Amazon ad. I tested with a fresh AA high-quality battery and they appear adequately bright to me, although I cannot confirm the advertised lumen output. They seem to be quite sturdy and I did not find the zoom head to be loose when extended, as was written in another review. (Perhaps that customer received a bad shipment or wrote the review in the wrong product page, IDK.) Though I am not an expert on the UltraFire brand, all the packaging and items I received had the UltraFire logo and trademark and the documentation referred to contact them if necessary and included their name plainly in the web address "ultrafire". I feel these are a great value at $3.06 each as in the package of five. If these were made in the U.S.A., I might pay up to $5 each for these in order to support a more local economy. I might buy more later for gifts. The Yank: No big complaints really. The dimensions are as described, though I would suggest two improvements: extend the length of the metal body approximately 0.5 to 1mm at each end. The reasons are as follows. 1) At the head, the convex lens protrudes in line with the tactical head. So the lens would be better protected from scratching or other damage (such as when standing it on end) if the metal head were slightly proud of the lens. 2) At the end with the toggle button, the button protrudes slightly proud of the metal ring around it, so the flashlight is not very stable when standing on that end. I will update my review if I find any adverse issues.

I have ordered a total of two sets of five and plan to again. Love the fact that 1 AA (NOT AAA) will run this for about 5 hours. The way I use it on and off all day and week long - inspecting things on darkened shelves has revealed that it is a quality item. I have come to love this for the small size - the use of a single AA battery and how reliable they have been. I live in the NW where it is damp about 80% of the time. In adapting to this - when I get a new battery using - (anything)... I take some petroleum jelly and coat the threads and o-rings as well as both Neg. and Pos. terminals. The ones I store for emergency use - I put in a snack bag with 3 extra batteries and date the bag with a label or permanent marker. Never store the battery installed - this is the only cause of equipment failure I have ever had (30+yrs.) - in storage. I have learned just recently - (never happened before) that carbon-zinc batteries will leak - even when not installed. From now on I will put the batteries in their own separate bag. I hope you like yours as well as I do mine.

This product was very surprising. They came in a solid box that had a large scan code and two web sites listed on the back. I checked out both sites and was impressed by their large selection of items at very reasonable prices, and they have a full product support set up . The flashlights themselves are of good quality aluminum construction(i.e .body housing and solder contacts) andthey do have three light settings, HIGH, LOW, STROBE, They have real CREE LED bulbs that put out a high light beam, (no cheap knock-offs). I am giving them out to my senior friends who go out at night but haven,t thought about having a flash light because the don't want to deal with a bulky item. These babies are perfect for pockets and purses. WELL worth the money.

Single function flashlights and battery operated flashlights are getting more and more difficult to find, for that reason we ordered 3 packs of these. I get annoyed when I have to cycle through multiple functions to turn my flashlight off. And I know some people prefer a rechargeable one but when you are in the back country, it's much easier to swap out batteries than rely on a solar charger. These little lights are exactly what we want. They are built tough to stand up to the abuse they may suffer in a hunting or hiking pack and stand up to rolling around in a toolbox. The only thing I wish was different is the clip. I wish it was reversible so I could clip it onto the bill of a ball cap.
