I was looking for a topcoat for a mahogany piece that I had bleached and did not want the wood finish to darken it. This topcoat maintained the bleached/natural look of the wood and was easy to apply. I also did not need to apply a lot. Expensive but worth it.

I can't say enough about the GF paint. I have used it before on a hall tree, and recently purchased the Coastal Blue in order to repaint my old bathroom wood vanity cabinet. I sanded some rough spots, and washed the cabinet down, but other than that, I didn't do much prep work even though the cabinet had a semi gloss to it. This paint, as expected, adhered wonderfully and covered beautifully. I did use 2 coats as recommended, but probably could've gotten away with one coat. I also used the GF clear top coat over it all, since it would be exposed to water in a bathroom. It came out beautiful. This is the best paint I have ever used on a home project! It mixes well, adheres to just about any surface, spreads beautifully, and the soap/water clean up is quick and easy. The only drawback is its a bit on the pricey side, but I will definitely use GF paints again in the future due to the fantastic results.

Used on oak stair treads and trim over dark stain. Seems totally clear, did not change the color. Excellent results with HVLP gun, no thinning needed. Very forgiving; a few oversprays formed milky white puddles, but still dried quickly and evenly. Runs can be smoothed with a brush and still dry smooth. Also easy to brush - I applied generous coats but still dried smooth. Easy cleanup with soap and water. It did dry quickly in my spray gun so I had to clean some areas with a toothpick, but scraped off easily. Treads have only been installed for two weeks but I expect the finish to hold up. This is very expensive but well worth it in my opinion, will buy again.

Outstanding. Easy to apply, water cleanup, and flawless finish. I put 4 coats on an old butcher block style table after staining ebony (oil base) and made a silk purse of a sow's ear.
