Microwave Rice Cooker , Vegetable Steamer, Pasta Maker, Serves 2 Or More in 17 Minutes

Love, love it! So much easier to clean up than my old electric rice maker. Rice comes out perfectly. Fluffs up nicely with a fork and is just moist enough, the way I like it. I use the 1-3 ratio to make one serving: 1/3 long grain rice to 2/3 water. I microwave it 9 minutes 30 seconds because my microwave doesn't have the highest wattage It's also simple to use..no excuses needed for rice that isn't cooked perfectly.

The information given for this item says that it will steam vegetables as well as rice, pasta, etc. I purchased the Zap Chef to steam vegetables, but the direction booklet which came with the steamer has no directions as to how to cook vegetables. Not only that, but the directions included appear to be for a country other than the United States. An example of how to make jasmine rice for one person: 6. 3 oz. of grain with 10.1 fluid oz. of water. I thought the directions were very confusing, so I decided to just experiment. I used 8 oz. of broccoli and cauliflower florets with 4 oz. of water, microwaved on high for 5 min., then let stand for 5 min. It was perfect! A more detailed recipe booklet would have been appreciated, because I think the product is good.

Wasn't sure I was going to like it as the instructions were in such small print, but after using it a few times I like it. Quick way to make rice, rather than waiting for my electric rice cooker.

This zap Chen microwave rice cooker is amazing. I love it.
