The comb is of good quality and has reduced the amount of hair breaking when I brush my hair after washing. I have fine straight, straight hair and I was finding it breaking easily if I brushed it when wet. It was recommended to me and I believe it to be good value as it has reduced the amount of hair breakage.

I'm newer to this brand but have mixed 3c - 4c (plus!) hair. 1st things 1st, its vastly overpriced for sure for the prong side. But the two teeth comb side is useful - like the brush, but can be more targeted. I like that the colour matched my fine fragile TT brush and long prong comb (which is superb btw -and worth the pennies). But more colours would be good.

One of my favourite wide tooth combs. I use the smaller bristles to help smooth down fly always with a bit of wax, gel or hairspray. Affordable and good quality. Easy to clean when using for a wash day. Works well with type 4 hair. No snagging or pulling.

Anything from Tangle Teezer is always reliable, and this wide tooth comb is no exception. I’m a Black woman with type 3B/3C curls, so it’s essential to have a wide-tooth comb on hand, and this one does the job beautifully. I don’t use it every wash day or as my main styling tool, but it’s perfect for detangling before a blow dry, during a blowout, or as the first tool I reach for when my hair is straight to gently work through any knots. It glides through my hair with minimal breakage, feels sturdy, and the design is both practical and stylish. Another win from Tangle Teezer!

I have naturally curly hair and have always dented my hair when wet with conditioner on it. My preference for wide tooth combs help detangle my curly hair and gets through knots easily. I have also used this item on my daughter's very thick wavy hair and my son's short curly hair. On long hair I've found if you tilt the comb you can get the other side tangled in your hair and it can be difficult to get undone. It is good to brush through product and gentle brushing in wet hair. It's also good on dry hair too but misses small tangles and knots. I have personally gone back to my very old afro comb as the other black side of the comb, despite good for combing hair does tend to get tangled in long hair as aim used to combing my har at an angle. It's good for shorter hair styles but in longer hair I was getting it tangled and causing knots/matts as both sides of the comb got twisted in the hair. The comb is quite sturdy and solid and appears it will last a long time. I've lost many a comb or brush just simply brushing my curls so it passed the curly hair brush through test. If you ca get used to using both sides without the other side catching any stray hairs then this will be good for you. It is expensive but it will last a long time, years if you can get used to using it. Colour is nice but would be good to get it in a variety of colours and textures. I would definitely buy the comb if it just had the wide tooth side.

Fantastic on 4c afro hair!

Used this comb to untangle a relatives hair who has been bed ridden for a while and hair care had deteriorated whilst admitted to hospital when poorly. Her hair was very matted, straight fine hair, not the 4c hair the comb is recommended for, but with some detangling and conditioning product the comb carefully untangled the matting with ease. There was a worry the only way to remedy the problem would be to cut the clumps of damaged hair off, but this comb was a lifesaver! 100% recommend.

It’s a great comb. I mainly use the brush side on my wash days. Just be careful when using it and going back and forth because could get tangled. It left the hair smooth and detangling without a ton of hair coming out like a regular brush. I don’t use the comb side much but it’s pretty much standard wide toothed comb.
