Relatable and Actionable
I started reading a few pages into this book with the expectation that I'd skim through and be done in short order. I was wrong. The personal stories, the smooth flow of the words, and the flawless editing kept me hooked. Not only does the author get inside your head and make you feel like you're not alone in the world, but he then offers convincing hope for change. The concept that you're not just born with overwhelming shyness, that it's all in your brain and that it can be fixed - that's pretty motivating! I can see value in the exercises not just applying to shyness, but overlapping into improving other areas of your life as well. (i.e. stopping a fear cycle and just pondering it.) In short, this book made an impact and I'm glad I grabbed a copy!

Good Self-Help Book
This is a useful self-help book. It is good for listing strategies that address what is necessary for one to meet others and develop self-confidence. A minor criticism is that it addresses more the imperative to change one's behavior and less what it takes to modify one's mentality to engage in "positive thinking." But otherwise, this is a good book.

A perfect manual to reach out and connect with our fellow companions in this journey called life
A perfect manual for us introverts to really reach out and connect with others, this book not only does provide knowledge and insights into the worlds of shyness and confidence, but it even takes it a step further by giving a 21-day blueprint to actually put the theory into practise. The 10-minute philosophy of using small consistent actions to build lasting habit changes, makes the whole dauting process of changing our naturally introvert behavorial tendencies so much easier and do-able. And the icing on the cake is definitely the inspiring stories of what wonderful experiences open up when one lets go of self-imposed inhibitions...some of them heart warming, some encouraging and one that even brought tears to my eyes. A great read from cover to cover, I feel really grateful to have come across such a wonderful book.

Not much new but some good reminders.

Helpful book that speaks to your shyness
While many of the tips in this book are intuitive, the breakdown of the underlying premise of why we are uncomfortable speaking to others helps us to understand why we act how we do. For me, getting an understanding of the why is imperative to growth.

A solid plan
I enjoyed this book. It's obvious the author is a real introvert who knows whereof he speaks and how it feels to take a new social step. He doesn't have any quick and easy answers but he does present a sensible and doable plan, and you can't really ask for much more than that. He's taken an interesting approach to self-improvement.

Great book, even if you aren't shy!
I enjoyed this book. I work with the public everyday and can talk to anyone, I don't think I've ever been shy. I do get anxious before doing any public speaking, and this book has some helpful advice that works for that too, even if you aren't shy. This book has lots of great points for anyone who wants to build self-confidence, and learn how to talk to other people.I really enjoyed the personal stories of the author's journey from being very shy to being able to talk to strangers.

Easy to comprehend volume on how to relate to people.
Great summary on how to meet and make friends with strangers. Good way to go from typical sales job to putting yourself on a line as a product.
