Very neat little machine
So much fun to use. Very satisfying to see the cord "magically" appear. User tip and no fault of the device or manufacturer, make sure the cord can dangle freely as it twists while being created. If you don't, it ends up a mess and you don't get quite as smooth of a cord as you would like. Also the yarn they recommend is the yarn you should use. Heavier and it won't "auto" pull through.

Total garbage
This product is total garbage. The latches on the hooks don’t open/close properly, somehow resulting both missed stitches and knots simultaneously. The internal gears were skipping and misaligned even with no yarn on the device. The crank shaft is cheap plastic, so forcing past a knot resulted in the crank shaft snapping. Flimsier than a single strand of yarn. Terrible design, non functional, an complete waste of time and money.

Patience, there is a learning curve to the start
There is a learning curve for sure. You have to be very careful in the beginning to make sure your cord stays on the machine the correct way however once you figure it out it is a fast process. I'm using regular acrylic red heart yarn and having a blast making tie cords for my knit sweatpants. You do have to pull down sometimes on the cord to ensure the loops pull down enough to proceed with the knit process. The weight could be better, I've seen ones that you clip to the cord so you can control the tension better .Overall a decent product for the price, patience is key though.

Hmm
The media could not be loaded. Package arrived when it said it would . Package was sealed but product was opened and already had scratches on product. I don’t enjoy when things are sold as new and aren’t so I was a little annoyed by these things . other than that I plan to use it tonight to see that It works perfectly

Trash
Trash, it is just Trash, it is currently in my Trash can after fighting with it for over and hour. I tried 4 different types of yarns, watched video tutorials, read direction, etc. And after becoming so frustrated with it, I stopped myself from throwing it across the room and threw it in the trash can. DO NOT BUY

Requires a LOT of patience!
I tried probably 20 times before it actually worked smoothly and created a rope with even tension. And I almost gave up multiple times, but I finally after a lot of patience and redo's got it to work. The yarn should be a 2 or 3 weight that isn't fuzzy or come untwisted easily. You need to start slow at first to make the hooks catch the yarn but then you can go faster once it gets started. I found that it was important to not let the weight get too far down on the rope to maintain the proper tension. I used a giant plastic safety pin that I use as stitch markers to pin the weight onto the rope near the base of the machine any time it got more than 8 inches from the machine.
