These are great, I use them in my own recipe to make homemade dog food for my older Chihuahua with kidney disease. They cook up well and are tasty.

I like to add sweet potatoes to my Chocolate Lab’s homemade dog food. Having the sweet potatoes freeze dried is wonderful to have the ingredient on hand and always ready to go! It just takes an hour or so to reconstitute them. The flavor is very good, too.

My meal prep for the day takes about 5 minutes, and this product's ease and convenience are helpful. About a half cup of this product along with 1/2 cup parboiled brown rice and a cup of cooked red beans along, about 3 ounces of kale, mustard or broccoli, red pepper and seasoning all done in Instant Pot put on to cook for about 10 minutes at noon is at perfect temp to eat at 5pm. You couldn't go to the drive up window at convenience food window in half the time, and this supper and a similar lunch will reverse your heart disease. Love the taste...been eating same every day for 10 years on my exclusively whole plant food diet, and at age 72 my weight is 130, total cholesterol 149, CRP and PSA that of a child. Originally gave a 5 star for taste and quality but one bag out of 4 seems likely to bite into a sand or tiny rock of some kind....so will also be trying sweet potato powder next time that has been milled fine. This is convenient and fast addition to my supper pot, especially good during time of year when fresh sweet potatoes have not had time to cure and not too sweet and not as soft after cooking. As an update, I continue to use this product and have not run into the grit enough to mention. It is a minor trade off for the convenience and flavor.

I love these sweet potatoes. I buy them for their light weight and shelf life to take back packing. I have several pounds vacuum sealed with oxygen absorbers in my long term food storage cache. The problem is that I keep eating them at home and have to buy more. I recommend them to others and will buy more. Just add a little salt, boil them with equal parts water for 5 or 10 minutes, and they are ready. You can let them sit a little while, if you want them a little softer. I like to mash them and add butter.

It's hurricane season in Florida & I'm so glad I purchased freeze dried sweet potatoes! They will be easy to use & I'm very happy with the product & the cost.
