WaterRower Rowing Machine | USA Made | S4 BLE

I wanted something basic, something well built, and a rower that didn't drag me into an ecosystem of never ending expenses. I don't want a 15 inch touch screen that can't do anything more than regurgitate the content of rowing programs. Doesn't anyone think a simple HDMI cable to occasionally play a movie would be a good idea on those other expensive rowers? This rower is exceptionally well made. It is relatively easy to setup. It's easy to store and move around my home gym. It's smooth and consistent in operation. It looks like well made furniture. Yes, the program/computer that comes with is very basic. But it does EXACTLY what I need it to do and doesn't tie me into monthly fees to be guided in my exercise routine. I bought a very stable but inexpensive phone/tablet holder to mount on the frame and now I can easily watch any content I want while using this rock solid rower and I get the approximate feel of rowing through water but in a design that is simple, durable, and won't suffer from maintenance when computers, magnets, screens, or other mechanisms eventually wear out. Simple is also elegant, and in this case, beautiful. The resistance variability is the only thing I wish was easier to manage. Once filled with water, it's a small ordeal to add or remove water to vary the resistance and thus, impossible during the workout. However, the resistance at max water is significant and it's easy to work your way into a routine that is slower and approximate until you're ready to take it up a level or two or three. It really is the perfect compromise of form, function, and cost. Highly recommended.

We were skeptical about this piece of equipment. But after reading some reviews, we decided to take the plunge. So glad we did. We are more than pleased with this piece of equipment. Especially since as former marathoners and now old-timers, this machine really helps use re-gain the mobility and flexibility we lost over the years. We love that we can both use the machine without changing any attributes, since it's water resistance based. What we also love is the aesthetics -- the natural wood really lends to a focus furniture piece rather than a typical exercise machine. Hubby is a double hip replacement subject so this machine really has done wonders for his mobility. He's not walking around like a zombie and has been touting it's virtues. Granted, he has'nt been able to go more than 5 min. on the machine yet, but so far it's been the best for aerobic exercise. The assembly was a bit of a challenge. More so since hubby is more illustration driven than written instruction driven. But the two of us managed to construct an awesome piece of equipment with the help of a rubber mallet (we had issues with the placement of the foot rest.) The S4 monitor that comes with the unit does a decent job of tracking your stats. But if you are looking for a challenge, you probably need to subscribe to a service. Granted, I loved the stats that the waterpower provides, but we'll probably need to subscribe to a service to get the most out of the machine. If you're looking for a functional, yet aesthetic rower/exercise machine, the Waterrower in my opinion is the best option out there.

We decided to order this rowing machine after seeing it at a family member’s home. My husband was concerned about not being as strong and in the shape he used to be so he wanted to try this. I was impressed with all the choices of wood this rower came on. After ordering it arrived quickly. My husband got it assembled in about 45 minutes and has used it religiously every day. I use it as well, not as much as he does since I get other excercise, but so far I am very impressed. And the company has great customer service. We had some questions before ordering and they were very helpful and friendly. This rower is well worth the money. It appears to be well made and I expect it to last quite a while.

Approaching 5 years with this machine and haven’t had a problem with it. Works well, looks great in any room and worth every penny. I noticed it got more expensive since I purchased it in 2021. Highly recommend this for a complete, low impact workout. I purchased the walnut and glad I spent a little extra fo this model.

I'm a soon-to-be 60 ex-jock that used to run and use weights/machines to stay fit. A demanding job and a bum knee rendered that exercise regimen unsustainable which led to a 35-lb weight gain over the last 3 years. Elliptical machines used to be my favorite because of their low impact but they are ugly and impractical to move around the home if you buy one that's worth buying. I've been considering a rower for about 18 months but never really researched it heavily until I watched House of Cards and realized that, like Frank, I needed to get into shape and better health. I purchased the WaterRower Classic. Putting it together was quite straightforward but I had a challenge with the first piece that serves as a brace and spacer at the end of the rails. The holes/screws were just a bit out of alignment. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to get them to align so that I could tighten it down. The rest was a breeze. The instructions are quite sufficient and it's not very complex. My first use reassured me that this was an exercise that I could see becoming a habit. I awaken between 4 and 5 AM every day. I spend two hours usually doing computer work. The WaterRower is so silent that I can use it when I awaken without awakening every living thing in the house. It's comforting swooshing sound (not at all like the mechanical sound of the rower on House of Cards) does not awaken others and provides a mellow white noise in the morning. Of course, being new to me, I don't yet have the stamina to use it for more than five minutes at a time. That will change, I'm sure. It is smooth, quite and solid as a rock. Nothing seems cheap about it - given what I paid I don't know how anything could be cheap on it. I've read reviews about the foot rests being flimsy - I believe that's a design feature that they flex. Nothing seems cheap. As far as the quality of the workout you get: like any workout you get what you put into it but I assure you, even low intensity use is taxing if done for an extended period of time. You feel it working everything but only after you finish and get up to find muscle groups pleasantly stressed. For me - this is the perfect form of exercise. If anything changes with the quality or durability of this WaterRower, I will update my review. I plan to update this periodically so you know it works.

Awesome!!! This machine went together in about 40 minutes, filling the water was the most strenuous task, I found using a pitcher and a funnel worked for me, 5 trips to the tub. How the machine looks and functions, amazing, I love it. I have arthritis, herniation and a number of physical issues that has stopped me dead in my tracks with every exercise I have tried, bike was hard on my knees, walking is OK for a bit but I cant do enough walking to do anything of measurable value. I was desperate to get some exercise. I chose a rower because it was the most promising option available with my conditions. I chose the WaterRower and am glad I did, the appeal off the water resistance was a plus and the looks that are available to go with your home decor was important, the wood used is done without deforestation, that's a plus. Other reviews were very positive. The one I purchased was the classic in Black Walnut, it best matched my bedroom decor and it looks great I am very pleased with the aesthetic value. Once I got it together I jumped on for some exercise, wow!, smooth as butter and after only five minutes I could feel the work that was going into my problem area love handles and all with no pain to my joints. This rower is not going to be a problem for most anyone to use it is very easy to row, I was surprised and pleased. Depending on how you do it you can get more or less out of the upper body, I will be reviewing the correct rowing method to better my rowing technique asap.

The rower is great, really nice to use, and great exercise. Unfortunately the left track came damaged, a small dent as can be seen in the photos.

I am very pleased with my WaterRower. It came early (before the expected delivery date) and was fairly easy to assemble. I’ve been using it for about a month. The action is very smooth. It is the closest machine I know of that gives a full-body workout. The electronic monitor is comprehensive; one can program it in many ways. It is attractive (I got the walnut). It was expensive but for me is very good value for money. Finally, it is very easy to store upright and when stored takes up very little room. Highly recommended.

Ich habe mich im Vorfeld ausgiebig über Rudergeräte informiert und nach dem Vergleich mehrere Geräte fiel die Entscheidung auf den Waterrower. Das Gerät muss zusammengebaut werden, da es teilzerlegt geliefert wird. Der Aufbau ist aber, dank deutscher Anleitung, ein Kinderspiel. Einzig die Montage des Fußbrettes war schwierig, weil die beiden Bohrungen schwer auf die dazu gehörenden Stutzen passen. Ich denke, dass das aber gewollt ist. An dieser Stelle treten beim rudern starke Kräfte auf und deshalb darf dort kein Spiel entstehen. Also Ruhe bewahren und man bekommt das Gerät sauber aufgebaut. Die Qualität des Waterrower ist ausgezeichnet und wird dem Preis gerecht. Das Design ist genial, absolut funktional und auf das Wesentliche reduziert. Wenn man das Gerät in der Wohnung benutzt, fügt es sich bei Nichtbenutzung, wie ein hochwertiges Möbelstück ein. Die Benutzung macht Freude, denn das Rudergefühl ist sehr realistisch. Die Intensität stellt sich, wie beim echten Rudern, automatisch ein. Je nachdem wie kräftig man zieht ändert sich der Widerstand. Der Rower bleibt dabei sehr leise, man hört nur das leise Wassergeräusch. Der Leistungsmonitor ist gut abzulesen und fast selbst erklärend. Allerdings wäre in der Preisklasse ein integrierter Empfänger für die Herzfrequenzmessung angebracht. Den muss man leider noch teuer nachkaufen. Fazit: Der Waterrower ist ein schickes und wertiges Sportgerät das auch bestens funktioniert. Das Rudern macht Spaß und wer keinen extra Sportraum hat veschandelt sich nicht die Wohnung. Der Preis ist hoch aber für dieses langlebige Gerät meiner Meinung nach gerechtfertigt. Ich würde den Waterrower wieder kaufen.

Je viens de recevoir le rameur (avec 6 jours d'avance sur le délai annoncé, youpi !) ; habituée au Concept 2 en salle, je suis ravie de ce rameur qui pour une utilisation à la maison me semble idéal. D'une part, il est très esthétique, facile à ranger, peu encombrant ; en pratique, je retrouve les sensations mais en plus agréable en ce qui concerne le bruit, l'assise est confortable. Pour ma part, pas de problème quand à la position centrale des pieds. Sur internet il y a le mode d'emploi en anglais pour ceux qui auraient des pb de traduction, le montage n'est pas si difficile si l'on est bien attentif. Un programme de travail et explications sur le site Howtorow. Je pense qu'il sera un bon compagnon de sport quotidien ! Le transporteur Dascher avait de mauvais commentaires sur le net, je dois dire que tout s'est bien passé tant avec le secrétariat et le livreur.

Easy to put together, feels just like the one at the gym and looks fantastic. Shipping took longer than expected...but well worth the wait.

I got it recently and I am happy with it. But soon to say it's going to work for long time.
