Yes. I use it with Dragon 12 Basic. It picks up dictation better than the mic that came with Dragon.

Where can one get spare ear cushions for this headset?

Hi Lailah. I heard back from Plantronics and was told this headset "does not have replaceable ear cushions." I find this a strange response since they are easily removed. Anyway, I kept digging through Amazon and have found some generic 2 inch ear cushions stated in the description to work with Plantronics. You get 5 pair for $7.99. As of March 2017 and OS X 10.12.4, this headset will NOT work with Macs. It produces a stuttering on both microphone in and audio out that makes it entirely unusable. Plantronics support is aware of the issue but has no solutions. Some in this thread claim that using a cheap USB hub solves the issue, but no luck for me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7904080

How long is the chord since I need something a bit longer than the standard 6 foot chord due to the position of my computer...

If you need more length, I would suggest a simple USB (2.0/3.0) extension cable. Since the signal is digital, there should be no change in sound quality with an extension cable, granted the cable works correctly, hence why I imply to make sure it supports at least USB 2.0.
