Your Finances God’s Way and the Your Finances God’s Way Workbook by Scott LaPierre is a work of Christian non-fiction. This book and workbook are filled with bible verses on giving, saving, investing, retiring, and much more. From Galatians 6:7 we are taught you reap what you sow and that makes this personal finance book a great investment. Having read other books by Scott LaPierre, I have gained an appreciation for his straightforward style that utilizes Biblical truths. While you could possibly read the book on its own, I believe the workbook provides additional insights and activities that help bring the messages in the book home. Whether you read it alone, with your spouse or some other important person, or work through it in a small group, I feel you will gain valuable insights and information. My husband and I are in the middle of a major financial crisis, and have been praying for answers as to what our next step should be. Then Your Finances God’s Way dropped into my lap, and I have been immersed ever since, as we continue to pray for answers. The first thing that struck me about this book is how Biblically based it is. There is no denominational sway, and I love that every point is backed by Scripture, which is clearly documented for further study. So many Christian books about finances only sprinkle in references here and there, but every point the author makes is backed by Scripture. “ We need wisdom to know when and how to spend, give, and save,” and the Bible truly does hold all of the answers. We just need direction, to know where to look, which is what makes this resource so incredibly valuable. I loved reading the author's personal story, and appreciated his laid back, easy to read, writing style, which helped this nonfiction flow easily. My favorite part is the deep dive of Matthew 25 and the parable of the three servants. I’ve heard this parable many times, but something about the way Scott LaPierre presented it opened my eyes to Jesus’ meaning behind telling the parable. The accompanying workbook takes this topic to a deeper level, as application is when you will truly see the change in your own life. I am a huge note taker, and I love that I can keep all of my thoughts in one place, but I do wish there was more room to write in the workbook itself. I also thought for personal study that it wasn’t as impactful as it would be in a group setting, which is awesome if you are going to use this for small group study, but for me it felt rudimentary. Like I previously stated, I have submersed myself in this study since I received it, and to say it has been thought-provoking is an understatement. I truly believe that Your Finances God’s Way is an answer to a prayer, and I am so thankful this resource came into my life. *I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. This book is packed with principles from God’s Word about how to use money in a godly way. The author takes readers through relationships with others and with money, exploring attitudes and actions. Its sixteen easy-to-read chapters cover topics such as stewardship, faithfulness, security, the love of money, giving, retirement, and much more. He uses Bible verses to support his teaching—everything is based on Scripture. Accompanying the nonfiction helpful book is this companion workbook that follows along with additional input and asks pertinent questions for each chapter to aid readers in applying the lessons. For decades I have heard taught how tithing is biblical. The author shows how this is an Old Testament requirement but the New Testament calls for freewill giving not a set amount—although both encourage sacrificial giving. I recommend these for group study and church libraries. Whether the information is all new or a helpful reminder of godly concepts, the text is a great tool to have on hand. This book will help you look through lenses of an another perspective ultimately gaining great insights on overcoming those energy draining practices that have no productive solutions. You will transform into sound regulations and good management. The main book is also a accompanied by a workbook which I highly recommend because it will help you to understand the book and apply the content. With thought provoking questions and lucid interpretation, the readers can truly active the desire steady flow of income without losing their piece of mind. One of the many wonderful features of this book is each chapter brings forth a serene and detailed answer to the doubts and troubling questions that arises when the financial constraints becomes quite evident in our lives. Talking about God's way will clear your mind to see the areas of inconsistencies that you can improve along with several other criteria that follows the topic of finance. Because if you want to understand the term financial stability that are many important things that come first which were thoroughly explored in both of these books. The author of this book has tremendous experience is when it comes to successful management of finances therefore I would request everyone to give this book a try as it is going to help you in a long run.
