No neutral wire was key for me
Worked perfectly. Our house is over 100 years old. I wanted to put a smart switch in the dining room that was compatible with our SmartThings hub that we already had. The house wiring was so old that it had to be a switch that didn't require a neutral wire. Other rooms have smart bulbs, but this room had a chandelier so a switch seemed to make sense.I hoped to install the switch myself. I am not especially handy but can handle easy jobs. The problem was that the installation of the old switch was really not up to today's standards by a long shot. There was no electrical switch box, there wasn't really room for one, and I ended up calling on a family friend who handled it all with minor headaches. None of that had anything to do with the switch which works great.Pairing it via ZWave with the SmartThings hub was very easy following instructions with the SmartThings phone app. The pause before it connected was long enough that I was momentarily concerned that it wasn't going to happen, that perhaps they were too far away from each other, but they connected soon enough.I would not hesitate to buy this switch again. It works perfectly manually and with Google Home and Alexa.

It's pretty easy, but have the right tools
I have two of these lights, one for the kitchen and the other for some outside food lights. The one in the kitchen has 10 ceiling lights and works great with Samsung smart things. The one for the flood lights, it works but when I turn the switch light off, the flood lights flicker on about ever 1 second. It's hard to pinpoint what the cause of this is because it seems like these lights were installed after the house was built so I'm not sure if the switch is the issue. When I switch the flood lights on they'll flicker for about 2 seconds then stay on with no issue. It's slightly annoying but there's no one behind my house so it's not a problem because it's not really noticably to anyone else. The right tools you'll need for any switch is needle nose plyers, flat head screw driver, and most importantly a voltage sniffer. Look up voltage sniffer here in Amazon, they're about 20 bucks but might literally save your life

Most versatile and accommodating Perfect switch ever. Compatible with the not a stand Alone switch
This particular light switch has awesome instructions and it works flawlessly. I teamed it up for a 4 way switch by adding 2 more switches that are the Not stand alone model type. It works perfectly. The instructions in the stand along model take you from a standard 4 way and 3 way switch to how to wire it for Google. Google controls everything. What I also like is its ability to work with all types of lightbulbs including Phillips Hue. The Z way and Zigbee work absolutely flawless with my WINK and RING. It intensity is exponential as well not just linear. So it can adjust the light at any intensity you desire. You have to know something about electrical wiring but its extremely simple. I highly recommend it. Nothing compares to its versatility and capability. My Sincere thank you and congrats to GE and their extremely smart crew. GE made the perfect most accommodating switch. Perfect in every way. Amazon well done guys.

No neutral wire needed, but need a hub. Works well.
This works well for a no neutral wire installation. I actually added it to my Ring alarm system as a z-wave device to get Alexa to control it. I don’t think it integrates directly with the Alexa studio hub. Figuring out how to press it right for the dimming function takes some getting used to Even though it doesn’t say it’s compatible with LEF bulbs, so far it has worked for me.

No neutral wire required - works perfectly
For years I have wanted to add overhead bedroom lighting control to my Samsung/Alexa system but my house doesn’t have a neutral wire. This switch is the solution.Having almost no home improvement experience, I followed the instructions and installed the switch myself in 15 mins. The switch paired easily with my hub and then was imported into Alexa without issue. Now I can crawl into bed and *then* turn out the light. Precision dim control is a plus and I like the way the light fades in and out to the last setting when the switch turns on and off. Great product, arrived in 1 day, works exactly as described.

Can’t handle a power surge.
Bought one of these, had a power surge, didn’t work after. Bought another one, had a power surge, doesn’t work. If you want to replace it every time you’re power goes out or you have a power surge, get one. I’ve went through 2 now in less than a year.

Does Not Need a Neutral Wire!
This switch is wonderful for houses with older wiring. It will work when your old light switch is a single pole connection (just a break in the hot wire). You can now control your light fixture off-on and add dimmer functions to it using smart home automation or you can control it all at the toggle switch.
