A "budget" turntable that sounds like a million bucks
I love this turntable. After I found it praised as the year's best budget turntable by the NY Times Wirecutter, I started hunting reviews on YouTube and found every comment and review positive. It might be considered "budget," but it sounds better than many turntables priced three times higher. Shipping also underpromised and overdelivered -- it arrived two days earlier than expected.

High quality, stylish
Really great for an intro to hi fidelity turntables. Looks very nice, wife loves the aesthetics. I love the sound. Win-win

Fantastic TT
THIS should be everybody's first turntable. Or at least any of the Fluance TT. It took a little setting up, as should any REAL TT but it sounds fantastic! I've "burned" it in about 8 hours or so now and it sounds better and better as it gets used more. A nice rich warm sound. I play a lot of used records and I heard the RT85N was better for a lot of used/older records whereas the RT85 was better for newer/vibrant sounding records. Just fantastic so far. I REALLY wish I had started with this TT. Can't wait to see what Fluance does in the future. They just make a really solid TT. These things ARE dust magnets so buyer beware on that. But t's a beautiful piece of furniture... yes it feels more like furniture then a TT because it's made so well.

Quality & Beauty Personified
11/10.The player is a beautiful work of art, especially in the walnut finish in a mid-century modern style space. The player is also by far the best setup i've personally heard, paired with a Wiim Ultra, Douk A5 amp, Elac Debut 3.0 bookshelf speakers, and a Roger Soundlabs speedwoofer 10s. Absolutely stunning experience!

Need a phone pre-amp with this turntable.
So far, this turntable has exceeded my expectations. I had moved away from vinyl when CDs became readily available. Not that vinyl sounds better, there is nostalgia around playing a record. You do pay attention to what you are listening to. This turntable has the most important features that are needed. The Nagaoka cartridge has a smooth warm sound. Enjoying reliving old times.

A Simple wow would suffice, but there is so much to like/love about this turntable
I bought this to replace an Altec Lansing turntable which was fully auto with BT, i had replaced the original stylus for an elliptical on that unit and it sounded very nice but i was looking for more. Enter the Fluance rt85n, I wasn’t looking to be hammered with a sterile soundscape and the word warm drew me to this unit. I’ve burned it in for 20 or so hours and am very very pleased with this unit.I have a nice collection of records and it is handling all of them with ease. I am hearing much more detail in the music, instead of harmonies being blended together it is easy to hear the individual performers in their own space rather than a blend of voices in one spot. While warm is an apt description for the sound, that word does not do it justice, it has solid defined bass balanced well against a beautiful midrange and high end. I am reliving my first exposure to high end audio and am loving the old school vinyl experience, my setup does have Bluetooth to stream music from my phone, but the sound of well cared for vinyl is a much more engaging experience, I have to get off my ass and flip the LP. I have been adding a lot of pre-owned music to my collection and am surprised by how well this unit handles all of the $1.00 albums that have found their way into my collection. I have found that giving even a brand new album will deal with dirty grooves. A tiny spec of dust in the groove will cause a loud pop in the performance but a good deep clean have removed all those annoying pops, I’ve read of others having a similar issue and replacing the stylus with the next model up to deal with it, but cleaning is working for me. I had bought a copy of Yes - Close to the Edge which had several pops on both sides and after a good deep clean they all went bye bye. I highly recommend this unit it brings a lot to the party and was super easy to install and set up, as you can see in the pics my EQ setting are nearly flat and I am getting bottom end that can be felt without the boomies. My friends are commenting about how good my setup sounds and these are folks who have never used at turntable before.
