Quality, stylish, versatile light source
I bought the Spectrum RGBW lights to add illumination under the rear hatch of my van when it is open. These lights are fantastic so far. They're plenty bright. When I turn on the switch I wired them to, and do nothing else, they ramp up to full brightness white in about 4 seconds and stay there. Using Lumitec's "Timed Toggle Protocol," I can choose to interrupt that white ramp up at any point with a quick toggle off and on and set a reduced brightness level reflecting the brightness the lights are at when I toggle. Or I can let them ramp up to full bright white and then toggle off and on to go to color select mode. They will then cycle through the rainbow continuously. That's nice ambiance for a camping or tailgating scenario. Or, when they're displaying a color I want to hold, I toggle off and on again and they'll stay on that one color. Having selected the color, they ramp up again from dim to bright in 4 seconds, and another off on toggle will hold them at the brightness they're at when you toggle. You can also go directly to red for night vision by turning the switch on four times at startup, or directly to color select mode by turning the switch on three times at startup.I'm considering wiring in a "normally closed" pushbutton switch to make all this toggling easier. Potentially I'll put in a button for each light so I can choose a different color for each.Apparently, Lumitec does sell a controller that would allow you to select brightness and color directly without having to use the toggling method, but I have to say I really appreciate not having to buy the controller and still having a way to fully control the lights. The tilt feature is really nice for this application. You get to pick one direction for each light to tilt. There is a dot on the bezel that shows which direction the light will tilt toward. I have them set up so they can point straight down at the ground, or they can tilt in toward the interior of the van. They won't tilt toward the rear or to the sides--only straight down or in toward the interior, unless I want to rotate the entire light in its mounting hole. These lights appear to be of high quality and the design is very well thought out. I like how the glass cover over each light illuminates to the sides. I can see this fiber optic effect from behind the van when the lights are tilted and I find this to be a very stylish effect. In summary, I am happy to recommend these lights!

Great product!
The lights worked exactly as they said. On/off rocker switch also changes the colors. Very happy with them!

Misleading advertising. Possibly a knock-off
I ordered 2 with the polished housing and both came without the bezel. Wasn't in the box or package, Clearly these are separate pieces. Didn't even have the correct instructions in the box.
