Solar Eclipse Spectacles - Shade 14 Goggles CE Certified Safe Sun Viewing, Adjustable One Size Fits All, Better Than Glasses! Solar Filter and Viewer (Copper)

Super happy with these goggles! The lenses have the certification printed right on them (not in the middle) and are definitely dark. Came with clear lenses wrapped in bubble wrap so we can switch them out for costuming after the eclipse. They also came with instructions/warnings about making sure to inspect them thoroughly before using them to look at the sun, which is much appreciated. Headstrap is adjustable, too, so any of our family can wear them. The only concern I have is the slight amount of light I can see around the edges, possibly coming in through the flanged vents on the sides of the goggles, but they still block out more light than the paper "glasses" being pedaled everywhere.

Goggles came exactly as described, I ordered the faux copper look and it is great.Pros- Lenses are shade 14 stamped and perform well, Shade 14 is what NASA has set as a standard for Solar Viewing- Headband is skookum, comfortable, and thick, also adjustable- Fit is great, only very slight light bleed through on the edges were my head is probably weird. No bleed through around lenses.- Changeable lenses with rubber gasket, additional Clear lenses- Dirty copper look is successful and great looking. Copper look is on the inside of the eye pieces as well.Cons- Thin boxed packaging it was shipped in, was slightly crushed in during shipping- Clear lenses were snapped in half (contacting for replacements, update below - they sent replacements right away)- No padding around eye that would make the goggles comfortable for longtime wearingOverall the goggles seem great and I would definitely recommend others to buy them for solar viewing or even as a costume prop. There are papers that come with the goggles that offer advice on solar viewing and troubleshooting if you have slight light bleed through. They state they are a small family business and include contact information for any further questions, and that in itself is a massive plus! I'm contacting them about the broken lenses to see if they can send replacements.UPDATE - The seller got back to me almost instantly and sent out free of charge another set of clear lenses! Super nice and understanding, I also explained my situation and the photos of how the items were received.

Exactly what I wanted and I expected. I knew from previous reviews that I would want to make a few custom adjustments.There was a small amount of light leaking in from the sides and nose bridge connector. I tacked in a few layers of lining material (black silk with spray adhesive) inside, over the side vents, and used a kind of putty (sugru) to fill the holes at the bridge. Everything is now very dark inside.For the sake of comfort, I fit some weather stripping around the face mask. Comfort was greatly improved.I have included a picture here of the template I used. It shows some triangles where I cut notches in the stripping to make the inner edge fold over and fit better. It should be easy for anyone to reproduce on graph paper, if desired.I had to fit 5 pairs of these on all ages. I suspect that adding a secondary strip of elastic to go over like a headband might be a good addition.Some people might want additional light blocking around the edges because the weather stripping may not be enough of an adjustment for those with more angular faces. I had considered adding a little black felt in those cases, but haven't tried it yet. It works fine for me and the kids just with the stripping.We can't wait for the great eclipse!

Beware. Arrived in unmarked box with no papers. Lens edges are ragged. One was chipped. No marking on lens. No indication of certification. I expect these are fake and it would be dangerous to view the sun.

I bought these in anticipation of the upcoming eclipse. The fit is very adjustable and block out about 99.7% of light around the edges. Well made and seemingly durable with the added benefit of clear lenses included. My only complaint is that the frames are a little stiff and can pinch during wear. Otherwise a great pair of goggles perfect for my intended use.

If you're looking for glasses for the eclipse, these will work (you should have Shade 14 glasses or higher). They even included information on proper care and use during the eclipse and a chart showing where and when the eclipse will be at it's best. I put them on when I got them (at night) and couldn't see a thing, which was a good sign. I then turned on an LED reading lamp I had that is kind of like a spot light, great for reading, awful if you get it in your eyes even a little. I was able to look straight at it no problem and all I could see were the little LEDs, but those I could see very clearly (it was actually pretty cool to be able to see them like that). There is a green tint to the things you see. They also include clear lenses for use with costumes and such.

These goggles are so fun! I received my goggles today and am thrilled to report that they fit both Anglo and Asian faces right out of the box, with no adjustments at all. A true miracle! The #14 tint is super dark, and I like that they also came with clear lenses so we can wear them around the house, while grocery shopping, at the movies, etc.Only complaint is that one pair of the clear lenses arrived with a scratch in the middle of the glass, so I'll be contacting the seller to see about a replacement lens. I'll update this review to reflect that experience.[UPDATE] I upgraded my review to 5 stars because the seller provided a speedy and friendly response to my scratched lens complaint and shipped replacement lenses the next day. Great experience!
