Does the job. Why pay more?
Neighbors just spent ~2-3K on an installed whole House Unit. We've got decent City water so I don't mind taking showers or washing cloths/dishes with it. Just don't want to drink it. This little unit gives me a gallon of sweet pure/contaminate free water (in ~3-4 hours), with little fuss, guaranteed, for a fraction of expensive Systems they'll try and sell you. Get you one. You won't regret it.

Water tastes good.
So far it's working well. Time to distill is accurate. Fan is not super loud, but not quiet either. I put it in another room and crack the door as it heats up the room quite a bit. I'm not using the plastic collection container as my main goal is to reduce micro plastics. I use a glass carafe to collect the distilled water. The tip of this machine has a compartment to insert a small charcoal filter packet. I don't do this and the water still tastes fine. There was a slight metal taste during the first 3 runs, but it has gone away. I'm sure there was a little metal residue in the coil that needed to be washed out. The distiller seems well built and made to last. The water tastes like distilled water from the store, but without any plastic jug flavor. In my opinion, the glass carafe replacement for this device could be cheaper. I haven't cleaned it yet because it doesn't get very dirty. I leave a little water left over in the main tank so I can rinse it out easily. It has an auto off switch once the tank is empty. The price for this device was fair.

Water Distilling
Very easy to use and clean. Produces approximately one gallon of distilled water per cycle. The unit does run warm, and the fan is slightly noisy, but not excessively so. It has an automatic shut-off feature if the water tank runs dry. It includes charcoal packets and a descaling crystal to clean the tank.

quick efficient lightweight distiller, poor glass pitcher
This distiller seems to work well but it does have a few drawbacks. I purchased a MH distiller in 2011 and used daily so this will include comparison- the MH too has had issues due to wear n tear over the years and it was time for replacement, but noticing a big price increase these many years later I decided to try a different brand. Note that distillers do have upkeep and daily cleaning requirements, I know them well after a diligent 15 years but I still choose a distiller over throw away trash filters, plastic jugs, and heavy 5 gallon jug refills at the store. FL has very sedimenty water, and my husband says his tea and coffee taste better using distilled water over tap, naturally. The good: The fan motor is quieter, loved this! Starts dispensing water in 30 min compared to almost 60 of the MH. The cycle completes nearly 2 hours quicker as well. Note the fill line and pitcher hold slightly less water on Vevor but only about 8oz. It has a double level gasket on top compared to a single, which may contribute to it working faster. Plastic outside base compared to enamel, it's easier to clean and care for, similar to our tea kettle. Base is lighter weight, and top has a handle which is helpful. The spout is stainless and easier to use, compared to MH original plastic one that I literally fought with to remove to change carbon filter. The same: Gives off heat while brewing, noticeable in a small space so we brew in daytime in cooler months and over night in warmer. Stainless inside easy to clean with provided citric acid, or regular vinegar as I have done in past. I let sit a short time or over night, and I do not turn base on to heat unless there is something that is really stuck, but I have always used a plug-in timer to shut off before sediment burns on bottom- note that this unit will not automatically turn on with timer- you must push the button every time to start. The bad: As mentioned above the pitcher is slightly smaller, and the ability to set timer to start to come on automatically overnight- not deal breakers but inconvenient. The black color of top shows every water drop/spot and piece of dust. Some will be able to ignore this, but I find seeing and wiping off white streaks and spots daily a chore. I wanted a white unit but not available with a glass pitcher. The ugly: The glass pitcher spout is misshaped and it spills every time. To continue to sell without rectifying after years of complaints does not show good company standard. I considered returning this for a white one with plastic pitcher but opted to try a different company that seemed a little more proactive in customer service.

A little common sense would help…
I’ve had this water distiller for almost 10 days now and have already made about 25 gallons of water. Honestly, it’s all common sense, especially if you follow the instructions. After each use, I simply take a microfiber towel, lightly wet it (not too wet), and wipe the bottom to remove any leftover debris. It doesn’t get 100% spotless, and there is a slight burn mark on the bottom, but the instructions clearly say to clean that about once a month using the cleaning solution they provide. So no problem there—just follow the instructions. The water comes out very clean. I use it for both drinking water and my humidifier. A nice bonus is that during the winter, the unit releases some warm air from the top, which helps keep my family room a little warmer. Overall, it’s a good deal. I only had one issue, and it was completely my fault. One time I didn’t put the lid on 100% correctly, and the water leaked out the side—an entire gallon spilled onto my table. That was user error, not the company’s fault. Now I just make sure the lid is on tightly, and there are no problems. This is the first water distiller I’ve ever owned, and if I can use it without issues, anyone can. Thank you for dropping by.

Great purchase, only issue it has hot spots inside the chamber. Which can lead to tank burning
