BVD Men’s Ring Spun Cotton Underwear (Tag Free & Super Soft)

Excellent quality, fit and value.

I have ordered these 2 or 3 times in the past and that is why I re-order them when I want to replace "other" old jockey style underwear. I would consider ordering these one size larger if you are a large/big-built man, otherwise they fit like jockey underwear kind of in between a regular style and a skimpy style. If that is what you are after for a fit, than these are for you.Of all the common everyday brands, these have held up the best through numerous washings. The waistband is especially high quality and keeps its' elasticity longer than any other brand in my opinion. I definitely recommend them, if you like snug support. They do look a little small, but that is the way they are made. It gives them "wear" appeal, and they look good when worn. I'm over 65 yrs old and my wife says they "LOOK GREAT" on me! They don't get all stretched out after a year or two of wear, either. They do shrink a tiny bit over time, but it does not affect comfort in the crouch or general overall fit. One final remark. The price for the quality is extremely good!!

Edit 8.22.2023: They hold up. No complaints there.Alright, here is the scoop Kids. BVD has always been my favorite boxer-brief. I have the original ones from JC Penny (that are now literally falling apart but I still wear them because they are AWESOME; ask me how my girl likes that,) I have the ones I was able to find on Ebay after BVD went tits-up, I also have the shorter-leg ones that were (apparently) military surplus, and now I have these that are offered on Amazon.The nitty gritty? These give a slight nod to BVD but similarities end there. The cut is different, the waistband is different, and the fabric is different. They did not resurrect the BVD line. Well, they did, but in name only.This is not to say it is bad product, however. I ordered the black and grey package. The black ones are 100% cotton. The grey ones are 90% cotton and 10% poly. The cut is "kind of" the same as old BVD but similarities stop there. They need to now be looked at as a new brand, and they are a value.I wear a 33 or 34 inch jean and I ordered large (36-38) based on customer reviews and they are fitting like a 33" (maybe a 34".) I just got them and washed/dried them and maybe things will relax. They are comfortable, but definitely not true-to-size.You have to look at them as a new brand and not old BVD. The fabric is not quite as quality, the waistband to fabric transition is not seamless like the old BVD, and you have to juke around with sizing. All of that being said, because I ordered larger than the size chart says, I am pleased with the product and they really are comfortable. I have no complaints so far and will update this review if they fall apart or don't meet expectations as far as wear.Good underwear at a good value but DEFINITELY order a size up.

I purchase BVD a few years ago and they have held up well and are so comfortable, but I haven't seen them in the stores lately, so I think I made my BVD's last longer than intended. In desperation and on a whim, I check Amazon and sure enough there they were and just like the BVD I have liked so well.Next day shipping and I can confirm they are still the same comfortable fit, haven't changed a bit and in this case that is a very good thing! Great price, and far better than the competition!

I have been wearing BVD’s all my life. I ordered these BVD’s for the traditional look and they don’t disappoint. They are soft but thinner than I'm used to. But they fit very well. Snug at the front and tight at the bottom. They can’t compare to the older models but I wasn’t expecting that.I would certainly buy a thicker variant or a double seated one.p.s. The image amazon uses doesn't do them justice.

Worn BVD'S most of my childhood and ALL of my adult life, I am 62 years so I have a feel for BVD'S underwater.Chart sizing on Amazon for "Standard Briefs" is off by 2 sizes from what is labeled on the package you receive. Amazons online "Size Chart" states XL is 42-44 (which has ALWAYS been the standard for all underwater) and when package arrives it is labeled XL 40-42.BVD was taken over by Fruit of the Loom a couple years back and has since discontinued them. I called them and they said BVD's are no longer made!!!???So where have these come from? They have always been manufactured out of the country and distributed in Bowling, KY. Can't find the company anywhere online???Regardless, I plan on keeping them as I also plan on losing some poundage with summer coming so I will wear them shortly anyway.Just wanted to bring this to note as other reviews have stated the same thing through all the sizes, 2 sizes smaller than what is printed on the Amazon site "Size Chart".The quality is a bit not so BVD but still very good and if they fit I'd keep them.Just wish we could figure out if they are real BVD's or not and if so, why can't the company be found??? I hope for a miracle that BVD has been reborn so to say, always been the best.Note: Amazons "Size Chart" lists the "Standard Briefs" at XL 42-44 which is what I purchased. They list the "Fashion Briefs" at XL 40-42...Keep this in mind when you order, "Standard Briefs" reviewers said arrive 2" smaller than what Amazons "Size Chart" says and package is labeled that way, don't know if there are sizing discrepancies in the "Fashion Brief" chart...GO BVD's!!!

These are the best underwear I have bought. After having my vasectomy (hipa violation) I needed some underwear that would hold my package up. These succeed!. Just make sure you get the smaller size you can. Ex. If you wear a 32 don’t get the 32-34 get the 30-32. They will keep your nuts firmly against your groin. So good I bought another package and threw my old ones. About 8 years ago we had a tornado and my neighbor stood out in the middle of the street in his underwear and watched it (he’s old, it’s ok). The only thing is he was missing his BVD’s. Me I’m ready. Buy them you won’t regret it.

Boxers are a thin cotton but still wear well. I ordered same style about a year ago and they have washed very well, Held there form and elasticity. Totally satisfied. First shipment lost in mail at Christmas during mail strike. Hmmm.... Amazon sent second parcel immediately ,,,Good on Amazon.
