I need this adapter to attach to another medium format adapter so I could use that adapter between Sony and Nikon Z. All the other adapters have the release switch on the side, which prevented those adapters from fitting. this adapter does not have a side release button, which allows it to fit. It’s just a matter of knowing that if you go with this adapter, getting the adapter off of the lens is not simple because there is no release button. to release the adapter from lens I use A pair of tweezers to move the tiny notch underneath the adapter upwards, so I can turn the adapter off of the lens. I don’t plan on swapping this often so that’s fine for my case but if you need to change this adapter across multiple lenses, this is not gonna be the one for you.

Design is four or five stars. Five stars if you mostly leave attached to a lens because there is no lever sticking out from the side to get caught on things in your camera bag or lens pouch. Four, or maybe three, if you swap between lenses because lack of said lever makes it awkward to remove from the lens. This is a design choice, not a design flaw, because there aren’t better options for such a thin adapter at a low price. Unfortunately the copy I got was tilted, which is to say not of uniform thickness, which resulted in field tilt when a lens was attached (i.e. one side of image softer than the other). This really isn’t that uncommon for low cost adapters. For thicker adapters made from more than one piece a user can correct tilt by adding shims to the adapter. For a thin one piece adapter like this that isn’t an option, though one could shim the mount on the lens as a workaround. I rated three stars because the tilt was bad enough to be visible in images even at smaller apertures (F/8) and as far as dimensional tolerance was more than double what standard machining tolerances are. I ended up returning my copy. Would have liked to exchange to try another, and had that been acceptable would have bumped to four stars, but there was no stock available at the time. So, this could be a good a good low cost adapter if mostly leaving attached to a lens but you may run into quality issues. Fortunately returns are easy if that happens.

This little adapter is precisely machined, especially considering price point. There is no play between my heavy Voigtlander lens and Z7. I will buy the item again without reservation if I need it for another lens. They are inexpensive enough to leave it on the lens and use a Z rear lens cap.

It does the job as advertised. Mounts and unmounts easily from camera. Since adapter is thin (due to small difference in flange to sensor distances) it is not as fast removing the adapter from de lens. In my case, adapter will stay in lens forever and a day. There is a slight rattle lens - adapter.

I studied the lens release on the adapter before putting my e-mount lens on it. The lens fit fine and the adapter fit fine on camera. I wanted to change the lens so I tried to get the lens adapter off and boy I was in for a surprise… The lens adapter got off the camera fine but getting the adapter off the lens was the problem. The small lens release lever on the adapter is so weak and didn’t let the lens get off the adapter. I end up returning the Nikon Zfc so I had to get this thing off the lens and I really struggled to get it off. Not putting any other lens on this adapter!
