Great video for the money. Just as good as more expensive items. After reading other reviews I decided to buy this one. Warning: You probably need to have professional installation unless you are either good at wiring or willing to have wires hanging down. I chose to go with a professional. I went to my local Best Buy and surprisingly they told me that they install aftermarket items that you don't buy through them. It took about 3 hours for them to install it in a 2003 Dodge Ram. It should have been less than 2 hours, but the installer told me that Dodge has a unique thing they do with the power supplied to your backup lights. It seems that when you put your vehicle in reverse it only momentarily supplies the total 12 volts to the lights, then decreases the voltage. This will cause your reverse camera to flicker (I remember some reviews complaining of this problem). To circumvent this he had to hook up to an alternate power source to keep the power flow steady which solved the problem. Not all vehicle makes have this problem. The total installation should cost between $100 to $150 dollars. The wires are hidden and it was well worth the extra money. I would highly recommend this product.

TERRIBLE.. If I could I would give no stars and I never give ratings this is the first rating I have ever lest on Amazon and I have prime and buy all the time. We have been using this camera for a month now and giving it the benefit of the doubt but it just isn’t working like we’d hoped. It won’t record right or in the same amount of time sequences. 30 sec here 2 min here then 5 min, then back to 3 min 20 sec. the max you can set is for 5 minutes at a time of record time was 5 min I wanted a camera that records continuously on a loop but again trying to work with this thing I thought I could deal with the starts and stops every 5 minutes part (if would have ever done that correctly). I bought a large video SD card and before I knew it said card full and didn’t give me an option to set on loop just had to go delete what seemed like thousands of little short video spurts. NOT COOL! Plus while doing this I found out if you turn off the video in the mirror it only records sound not video and it’s distracting (especially at night) to drive with the video playing in your mirror. This is what did me in. WORST mirror cam I could have bought and I now because I gave it a try to long... I have missed my return cut off by a day just cause I tried to give it a shot. :(

Amazon video isn't the best so you should watch it here. https://youtu.be/CEoRQwQiepM If you're scared of hit and runs and want to record every detail of the road and any vehicles license plate who drives within 20 feet of you, well this is not the camera for you. But consider this. My cameras couldn't see the persons license plate at all since I was broadsided and then spun around. It wouldn't have helped if I had 4k video, the angles just don't cover every side of the vehicle. What a camera like this does is show who's at fault in an accident. This camera will save you time and money with insurance. So enough said, here are my pros: The camera on the mirror turns on by itself when I turn the car on, it starts recording instantaneously, it has an option to turn off the screen, you can change your view to the rear camera. Setup was fast and easy. The cables are long. Cons: I do like the blue tint, but it took some time to get used to. Make sure you know you're buying a blue tinted mirror. It works much better at night then flipping the old mirror up. It has no glare from headlights or sun at my back. The quality of the video is poor but that's to be expected. I don't like the chime sound when turning off or on. It cost me $45 after everything. Unfortunately it's already proved it's worth. You should buy this if you want a front/back camera that is out of site.

Pros: (1) Price is right ! Only $39.99 for the Camera (the 32GB card is an additional expense). (2) Comes with both front view and rear view cameras. (3) The quality of the image in the Front view camera is pretty good for the price ! (4) Installation of the Front view Camera is very simple. (5) The dash cam automatically starts recording as soon as you start the engine. Cons: (1) The image in the rear view Camera is fuzzy looking; not in focus. (2) The night time images both in the front and rear view cameras are not clear. There seems to be a lot of glare from the tail lights of autos. (3) The installation of the rear view camera, and threading of the cable underneath the automobile upholstery took some time (about 2 Hrs). (4) The instruction manual is rather brief, and doesn't quite explain how to properly adjust the various settings. I had to figure that out by trial/error after reading through several times. (5) BTW, the rear window camera, if mounted as supplied onto the review dashboard, provides an inverted image. So I had to buy a U-shaped metal piece from a hardware store, and used it to mount the camera upside-down, to produce right-side-up normal image (with sky on top). Then I discovered that the Pic being seen is vertical mirror image (the houses on the right-hand side of the street appear on the left-hand side in the recorded image, even though the sky is at the top). So I need to read some more on how to fix this. (6) I ended up turning off the G-sensor unit after reading on the internet that even small bumps on the road can trigger the G-sensor that preserves the video segments from being overwritten, and quickly fill-up the memory with those images. The total run time on my Camera with 32GB TF card with 3 mins duration for each recording seems to cover about 2 Hrs of total recording time, before the Camera starts overwriting the earlier files. I do not know if there is a way to increase the recording period to 6 Hrs or more. Recommendation: Overall, this is an excellent, economy Dash Cam that gets the job done (like having video evidence of an accident) ! I recommend it highly ! Update on 9/18/2017: I was unable to get the image from the rear-window view camera to look properly (instead of an inverted image with right-left mirror image). When I contacted the Customer Service at isYoung, the nice lady was apologetic and told me that the rear-window view camera was indeed supposed to produce an inverted image with a left-right mirror image ! So after additional research, I found on-line some Apps (e.g., Free Video Flip and Rotate (by DVD VideoSoft), QUICK Time Player, VLC Media Player etc) that will allow one to flip vertically or horizontally a video, to get the correct image for the rear-window view camera. Only minor drawback is that the time stamp on the flipped video looks flipped the wrong way. I can live with that.

The videos that it captures are great. Great quality and very crisp for a small camera. However, the lens housing became very loose after just one week and would often cause the image to tilt and become off center. Also, this item interferes with my vehicles key fob operations. I can usually stand about 30 feet away and my key fob would still work. After installing the camera, I had to be next to the driver side door in order for it to lock/unlock. I thought it was weird so I replaced the batteries in all three of my key fobs. Even after that, I was still experiencing this problem. I then re-synced my key fobs to my truck. Still, no luck. I uninstalled the camera from my truck this morning and lo and behold, it is now working fine. Will probably buy another dash cam, but not this model or style.

Really nice mirror. The blue finish takes awhile to get used to, but you can clearly see this in the product photo (in real life, it is NOT THIS BLUE, thank god). The camera connects and begins recording automatically when I turn on my car. It stops recording when the car shuts off - EASY! I was able to hide the wires in the front trims and plug it into my 12V outlet. The gold trim is a nice touch. The quality of the camera is very good when recording at 1080p. I did have issues with "TF / Memory Card FULL" the first few days after installation but I read some advice from other users on amazon reviews. 1. Format your SD card in the mirror device. 2. turn off motion recording (these stay locked on the SD Card and will not be removed for loop recordings) 3. turn off G Sensor recordings (these stay locked on the SD Card and will not be removed for loop recordings) I do not have the backup camera installed so I cannot review that.

Works perfectly for my Honda Odyssey. The cable was long enough even for my Minivan. If you are patient enough, you can push all the cables in the gap to conceal it. I started to the rear mirror route from the left (driver's side taillight), down chassis, up to the grommet where your main electrical makes it way into the body, under the headliner with the connection made at the front overhead light tray. Gently pull down your headline and you can simply tuck the wire underneath with no need to worry about removing the anterior light tray. .It does not obstruct your view as the size of this mirror is big. The recording screen is located at the corner of the mirror so you don't have to worry about the reflection. Absolutely no complaints about the price and quality of this item.

Is Young 1080p HD What a peice of JUNK! If i could of given 0 stars i would of. What a waist of my time. Save your money it's not worth the hassle, headache or lost time really. Even if I receive one for free or as a gift I would throw it in the trash or go set it up as a target to shoot at it. 1st of all its not easy to operate as menu button is very finicky. You have to hold it just right to get the menu to pop up. 2nd you set it up the way you want to then it looses your settings ERRRRRRRR 3rd then this camera turn on and off by it's self or stops recording when you are driving. A pain in the neck at night especially when u r driving on a dark road or high way you get blinded by this dash cam. 4th installed a new SD card from Amazon. Formatted it and in 20 min it was reading full. So i reformatted the SD card again and it lasted 1 hour this time with the same message piping up on the screen SD card full. So I am returning this item for a full refund.
