Product description CD: Smash Mouth / Dub Pistols / Violent Femmes a.o.,Mystery Men (Original Motio .com Mystery Men, the movie, is the saga of hero wannabes trying to strut their stuff. Mystery Men, the soundtrack, is an album of modern rockers doing the same. Smash Mouth's "All Star" is the one of the disc's finer moments, an upbeat, dance-ready tune. The Dub Pistols perform their trademark blend of funky rap on "Keep Keep Movin'" while Kel and the M.A.F.T. Emcees give us a taste of the real thing on "Who Are Those Mystery Men." Freak Power (Fatboy Slim's other band) contributes the catchy "No Way." But, ultimately, the Bee Gees' classic "Night Fever" helps save the day. --Jason Verlinde

Eclectic fantastic!
i'm one happy monkey listening to this cd! delightful toe-tappin', hand-clappin', & head-slappin' at the wonderful sounds... this cd has not left my car since i got it. the songs are smart, sweet & funky, my friends. buy this cd & make yerself happy! ear-candy with some intelligence to back it up...most so-called soundtracks are nothing more than a bunch o' pop crap thrown together to sell the newest hit artist whatever record company's put out the cd wants you to buy, sometimes with no relation to the film itself! here the ever-delightful karyn rachtman (the force behind the soundtracks to pulp fiction, romeo & juliet & boogie nights to name a few) concocts another brilliant mix of musical styles & ideas. this cd allowed me to find great acts like moloko & spy & to further appreciate mark mothersbaugh (of devo fame), fatboy slim (here under the name o' freakpower), &, of course, the under-appreciated violent femmes... am i gushing? just buy the freakin' cd already so i'll shut up! as flaming carrot sez: "the wild shall wild remain!"

Everything!
This movie is one of the best comedy movies ever made! And the soundtrack is just the best! It aint no average soundtrack. It has a cool mix of old '70's disco songs and todays music, like "All Star". There are a lot of other music in the film to that aint on the soundtrack, like KC and the Sunshine Band with "That's the way", and I must say: IT ROCKS! Buy this soundtrack TODAY! You aint gonna regret this, I promise you that!!!

Nothing wrong with the product but the songs weren't all that I though they would be.

Almost as fun as the movie!
I bought the soundtrack after recently viewing 'Mystery Men.' I can't believe I had never heard about this movie until this year! It's great! The cast has chemistry, with individual comedic styles coming together to blast you into a weird, funny world. The soundtrack only reminds me of the funny scenes I'll never shake out of my mind. My favorite song, by Citizen King, was so appealing that I bought their album, too. Even if you haven't seen the movie, the album is worth buying. It's an amusement park ride of rhythm and beats that you may never hear together again.

Buy This Soundtrack
To be honest, I bought the soundtrack because of the remake of Gangsters by Citizen King (Originally done by The Speicals), which has a very slick sound to it.The soundtrack itself has a vast array of genres compiled together, ranging from disco to lounge to rap.Definately a soundtrack to throw on when you have a lot of people over.I gave the review a 4 because I just don't enjoy the flagship single from the album: All Star
