KessilLED Light Pendant A-Series Gooseneck Clamp/Mount

I got this for one of the medium sized kessils on a 30" tank and not 2 day's later the tank sprung a leak. It wasn't the product's fault but my own, the glass was pretty thin and I didn't realize how large this arm was and that there are two different sizes at least and I had to put way to much stress on it to fit a tank narrower than 18". But the product it's self is really good. After upgrading to a 75g I had in storage (and a lot of panic) I made lemonade out of lemons and set up one of my nano tanks I took down a year or two ago, this time with the A160we hooked to the 75g next to it instead of the little nano Kessil I once had on it. Lesson learned.

I looked high and low to find a clip light that I could clip onto my bed and use to read while not bothering my wife. This product certainly does that. The clip is a little small for my needs but it is strong and won't let the light fall when it is clipped correctly. That was VERY important to me. Most clip lights have very weak clips that irritate me. This one is strong enough to get the job done. The light is shines is a very nice white that does not spread to much through the room. After a month of using it my wife has not been bothered yet by it. I just point the light directly at my book and her side of the bed stays pretty dark. The final item is the goose neck. It is a an ideal length. It allows me to really curve the light so that it only hits my book. I could not be happier with this product. The 3 items I look for (clip, goose neck, and actual light) all do exactly what I would want.

I have a Kessil A160WE Tuna Sun attached to mine. This mount is of very high quality, as is true with Kessil products in general. Mounted to my rimmed tank easily, and the adapter included should make it easy to mount to almost any type tank edge. Some have complained this gooseneck is hard to adjust. It is very stiff and strong, but gee, isn't that the point of making a well designed mounting? It does take some time and patience to get it adjusted exactly where you need the light to be, but once set it stays put. It is also attractive on my tank and the cords are not a distraction if you cable tie them correctly - cable ties are included. This gooseneck mounting is exactly what I expected from Kessil - first rate all the way.

it works but very limited on what the clamp can attach to. it is really designed for tanks due to the design of the clamp. Gooseneck gives you the ability to focus on certain locaton. The neck is very stiff and is limited on the amount of flexibility.

People complain about the price but to be honest for quality you gonna pay if you want cheap by a finnex or beamswork. If your a hard core aquarium hobbyist then buy these you won't regret it and if your setting up your first tank wait to see if this hobby is for you. Kessil is the top brand and there research is top notch. And made in the good ol USA. 5:stars all the way great job kessil. If you Want cheap by Chinese. There not bad but there no kessil either.

Check who the seller is. I don't know who all sells this product on Amazon but if it is Champion Lighting and Supply DO NOT PURCHASE. Find another seller, especially if you think you may need to send back the item. The gooseneck mount for the Kessil lights fit the light fine but it didn't fit my AIO tank from Tideline. They kept tilting to one side, no matter how much I tightened the screws. Paid 45.99 each for two gooseneck mounts. processed a return on them and apparently because i didn't include the boxes (they were already thrown out), and was missing 1 single screw, the seller refunded me exactly $7.36 for each gooseneck. So I basically paid $90 for the boxes and 1 screw. I called Champion and the man I spoke too was rude and condescending. I understand that you can't resell them as new because you don't have the box and a single screw but I am positive you could get those from the manufacturer for WAY less than $91. Come on. I will never buy anything sold by this company, Champion Lighting and Supply again. Check your seller.

After purchasing it we figured out that hanging it from the bottom of the cabinet works better than when on the gooseneck, so we aren't currently using it, but the product is great. It is very high quality, firmly mounts to any number of things including any model of refugium. Also, the high quality of the neck allows the light to stay where you want it and easily move it out of the way when adding chemicals or adding water. If you need this product, I highly recommend it.
