BB400 BreadboardAll TO-92 transistors, ICs, diodes, capacitors, resistors, and 0.1" header pins inserted smoothly into this breadboard, and the connections are solid and reliable. I was especially impressed that my metal film resistors (with ridiculous hair-thin leads) made reliable contacts. On my old cheap same-size, no-name breadboard, it became a nightmare when the thin leaded resistors made intermittent contacts. I ended up having to shove in a header pin in the same hole with each resistor lead to get a reliable contacts. Also, I had to work almost every hole with a safety pin in order to enlarge the hole, and line up board's contacts for the heavier leaded components and jumper wires. I didn't have to do any of this on this breadboard. So far it's been working perfect. I have not had a one intermittent connection issue.Finally, make sure the breadboard you buy has "BusBoard.com" printed on the edge along with the model number "BB400" like on this breadboard. I won't buy a no-name brand breadboard ever again.I highly recommend this board from BusBoard Prototype Systems.

First of all, I would like to start by saying that this is my first breadboard purchase. I'm just getting into electronics as a hobby, and I needed something to start with. Wow, was I blown away! This breadboard is incredible. It does pretty much everything that I would require a breadboard to do, including conducting electricity and holding components in place. It really shines in those two respects. If you want something that not only conducts electricity, but also holds the components in place, YOU NEED THIS BREADBOARD!I know what you're thinking right now. "Well, I want to buy it.. and I'd really like to have a breadboard.. but I don't know if I should spend my money on this or a McDonald's value meal." Wonder no more, you have to buy this thing. You don't need to eat, but you do need to build epic electrical circuits and get your prototyping game up in preparation for a robot invasion. Ditch McDonald's and get an awesome breadboard (like this one (preferably this one)).I was so stoked when I received this package in the mail. I immediately took it inside and opened the box. I was greeted with a piece of paper taped to what looked like a bag that marijuana would be kept in. But there was no marijuana, as the breadboard inside was simply too awesome to be roommates with any controlled substance. So I removed the breadboard and slapped it up on the ole' desk. "Finally," I thought, "it is here!" Without thinking twice, I whipped out the Fluke multimeter and started to test the tie points. "TROLLED LOL," is the response I was greeted with, as I have no proper breadboard leads for my multimeter. Well played, you sly device.My only complaint is that the package didn't include the wallet full of cash to buy more breadboards. I'm really sure that was in the description. Oh gee, Amazon, false advertise much?On second thought, I may have read the wallet thing in a Lost & Found ad on craigslist. You win this round, Amazon.

Hands down this is the best quality breadboard available. Worth the premium price. Marketings are clear and crisp. Wire insertion and holding force are uniform, firm and durable. Perfect for 22 g solid wire. I have tried numerous other brands and this is the only one I purchase now.

The item worked nicely as a breadboard, but on the bottom you can see double sided tape. I expected to be able to tape it to a project then move it later and put some more double sided tape on it. But when i removed it from the first project I realized that the tape actually keeps the breadboard connection on the bottom pressed in. So once you stick it with the double sided tape, don't expect to ever be able to reuse this breadboard. Either don't use the double sided tape on it. Or use it once and trash it.

I ordered a basic breakout kit, then followed that order up with several of these breadboards. These ones are far superior in most every way conceivable. As stated in the description, you can snap several of these together, either side by side, or end to end. The power strips on either side are removable & can be repositioned as well to fit your size needs. The breadboard itself feels fairly heavy & sturdy for what it is. Does not feel like many of the other cheap/low end Chinese products out there.I can't even mark it as a negative because of the functionality, but the side power bands do seem like they come off the unit a little too easily. After I finalize some sort of case design, i'll be gluing them together. In the meantime, the adhesive backing does a good job of keeping everything intact as it is not scored or perforated (read: knife required if you want to remove/move the power bands around). Having both + & - lines on either side really helps clean up the wiring, and definitely makes drafting the schematics a little easier.All in all, this seems to be the best breadboard I've come across. I'm happy I ordered 4 of them, and I'm fairly confident I'll be looking for this one again when/if I ever need more of them.**mentioned above another generic ordered, this is the link to it. Sturdy and worked as described

Extremely overpriced for the German market.The exact same type of breadboard can be purchased from established European suppliers such as Reichelt for less than one quarter of the price charged here. The pricing is simply not justified.In addition, the return process has been frustrating. My return request was submitted within the legal 14-day withdrawal period, yet I am still waiting for return shipping instructions. The seller does not provide a return label, and Amazon support was unable to offer a satisfactory solution.I would strongly advise potential buyers to compare prices before ordering. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this seller.

Nice board. Didn't give a problem. Only thing is that it was half the size that I thought. Anyways it makes it more portable.

This is a great little breadboard.. and when I say "little" I really mean it. It will be much smaller than you expect! If this is your first breadboard, then let me caution you about the size in general. In actual practical use, you can put together only the very tiniest of circuits with these. For example, it's just big enough and no more to create a DIY Arduino programmer with the voltage regulator, etc. When you try to squeeze as much as you can onto a little board like this, it get old fast!If you plan on doing some serious bread boarding that require the use of lots of components then I suggest that you get the larger 800 tie-point board first. That should do you for a while! If you run out of space down the road and you want to purchase another one, then these boards do click together. But make sure they are made from the same company because each company is different!What I did is get the large one and two small ones. I discovered that this is the best layout! A single small 400 tie-point board is actually really handy for most Arudino projects and some of the Arduino cases are actually designed to allow you to set a single 400 tie-point board on top of them.If you find this review helpful, please indicate by pressing the button! This is a great breadboard in many ways, and considering the value, is well worth a purchase.I bought the board so I can do more pre-testing before making up circuits on proto board, and it is very useful to have. I would advice buying two to give you more room to work on larger circuits, and the boards can be fitted together to make it into one larger board.This ability to be fitted together also means the board you receive is actually 3 separate boards, with the 2 power rails top and bottom and then a main center part.
