This was a perfect fit for the butt stock on my Remington 742 BDL. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit because of the Monte Carlo style stock, but everything worked great, it was super easy to install, fit was snug all around, and the extra cushioning in the butt pad is a MASSIVE upgrade compared to the 1/8th inch flat plastic nutt pad that came stock I've been dealing with the last 30 years. Sure wish I knew about this product earlier! Eliminates way more recoil than I thought it would, the thickness and design handles that. Works great for eliminating recoil and could even help cure someone of flinching!

I recently got back into shooting and sporting clays, skeet, trap, pheasant shoots etc. I purchased a clay thrower to get me back in and get practice at home. The first weekend I destroyed my shoulder, 100 rounds, 90 clays and some pretty decent bruising (thanks largely to blood thinners). I have attempted recoil pads in the past but generally they irritate me as they will not stay in place and I end up tossing them to the side. I saw this one and saw that it had pretty high reviews but I still had my doubts on a claim of 70% reduction of recoil from a shot gun. I decided to give this thing a try and in one shot, all my doubts were busted. No pain, almost no recoil, shot after shot I was amazed. I think 70% might be under estimating the amount of recoil reduced. Spend a day shooting well over 150 rounds. No bruising, no pain, no stiff shoulder. I let a few of the other guys try it and they were amazed as well. Both went on Amazon to purchase one. No point on being macho anymore I take no pain over being stubborn. Installation and fitment are great. I put the small/medium on a Remington 1187 Special Purpose 12ga with no issues, fits snug and does not move. Hope this helps some other people.

I put this on a Mossberg Maverick 88 12 gauge. I had never shot the gun before adding this so I can't say whether it improves the feel. However after shooting the shotgun with it the recoil seems very reasonable. The product slipped right on and fit well. If you have a Maverick 88 a size medium fits perfectly.

I have to start by saying this absolutely reduces felt recoil. I was skeptical, but have been very impressed in that regard. That doesn't mean there is no felt recoil, just much better than without. My two minor complaints are: 1) mounting isn't as smooth for me as the rubber is very grippy and kinds snags if that makes sense. Some repeated trap helped with the muscle memory and adjusting to make it work, but its still a minor complaint. 2) I wish there was an option for the custom fit for my stock. Based on the companies measurements, I was in between a medium and a large pad. I ended up going with the large, but I'd be curious how the medium fit. It has never come off without me trying, but mixed with the grippy rubber from my earlier complaint, it does feel like it kinda moves on me. Neither of those minor issues are enough for me to not recommend, but I would definitely check for one made for your stock before going down the slip on path.

I mounted this recoil pad directly onto my 1995 Savage 110 without removing the original recoil pad. It fit perfectly and the results were amazing. It reduced the felt recoil to practically nothing making my 30.06 a pure pleasure to shoot. I had previously fired 19 rounds trying to sight it in without this recoil pad and it beat me up. I fired 14 rds today sighting in a new scope. What a difference in felt recoil. I highly recommend this product.

Fits pretty good and it reduces kick phenomally, my 12 gauge used to bruise my arm after 75 rounds but now I dont even know I shot my gun. 5/5 highly recommend for clay pigeons. Build quality is also very good and looks pretty nice on my Remington 1100

Probably the best recoil pad I own in terms of what its intended for. Not the prettiest one on the market but it has saved my shoulder from repeated high cal rounds.
