I’m not one to normally review an Amazon order, but I have to agree with many of the comments that this replacement head for the Dyson v8 is much better than the original one that came with the vacuum!

I recently upgraded to this Dyson floor attachment for my vacuum, and it has truly transformed my cleaning routine. My old attachment had worn out, and initially, I thought the issue was with the filters. It turned out the real problem was the attachment itself. The pickup power is outstanding, effortlessly capturing dust, pet hair, and debris from both carpets and hard floors.One of the standout features is the built-in light, which makes cleaning in dimly lit areas so much easier. I no longer have to strain to see what I’m cleaning, ensuring that I don’t miss any spots.This attachment is user-friendly and fits perfectly with my Dyson, streamlining the entire process. Its versatility allows me to switch between surfaces with ease, making cleaning far less daunting.Overall, this floor attachment has significantly improved my vacuuming experience. This thing is fantastic. It seems to pick up better than the original Dyson head and the LEDs at the front are sweet. You can switch rollers too which makes it easy to get in and clean the thing. Great price too. Awesome product.

Dyson and the maker of this need to communicate. This unit so far is better than the Dyson head, the way they designed the brush motor it is almost impossible to get hair into the gear. I have a Samoyed with extremely fine hair and sheds a lot, I was on my second Dyson head in 3 years and thought I would give this one a shot. The brush picks up double the hair the Dyson one did and you do not need any tools to get the brush out. I can not tell you how many times I had to completely dismantle the Dyson for cleaning (sometimes 1once a week, but the way this one is designed its and easy rinse and not alot of places for hair to get jammed into other than the brush.Now only time will tell if it lasts as its only been 2 weeks of using it but even if I bought 2 I would be ahead of the game.Now I will tell you it does not steer like the Dyson but with the lights I am able to see what I missed and under the furniture.

LOVE this attachment for the tile and linoleum floors in my house. Much better than the spread out bristles attachment. This is soft and doesn’t leave any gaps in cleaning coverage. Even has a light on it to see all the dog hair better! Didn’t know how awesome of a feature that was until now! Super satisfied and highly recommend.

Eventually, the power head on your Dyson v10/11 requires maintenance beyond merely cleaning the crud a/o swapping the brush. I refer to disassembly: a lengthy, tedious, fiddly, generally unpleasant--and risky--chore. Faced with doing this odious task a THIRD time, I was motivated to find an alternative solution.A bit of searching on Amazon reveals the existence of a few aftermarket Dyson-compatible power head offerings. Each seems like a complete redesign of the kludgy OEM Dyson power head, and this appealed to me. That each product was compatible with the v10/11 AND is competitively priced is also appealing. Some have ACTUAL WHEELS, which is a definite upgrade from Dyson's ridiculous plastic disk things that wear unevenly, chip, and inevitably fail. What DIDN'T appeal to me is that these aftermarket products are generally unbranded Chinaseum-made doodads with dubious longevity and zero support after thirty days. But at only $20, I decided to give this particular power head a try.This power head comes with two new rollers: a bristle for carpets and a fluffy for hard surfaces. The thing fit the business end of the v10 want with zero interference or play, and it powered on as expected. It's comparatively quiet. The superfluous LEDs light. The roller spins. The wheels glide over every horizontal surface. Most significant: It vacuums as expected. Honestly, my expectations that the thing function at least as well as the OEM powerhead are satisfied.But is it a viable upgrade from OEM? My experience as of this writing is that this specific aftermarket powerhead performs nominally as the floor part of a vacuum should. On bare floors it gobbles up larger detritus without flinging it around; on carpeted surfaces it picks up hair and embedded stuff without clogging; presuming the correct roller is installed for the appropriate floor, of course.Bottom line:So far, I'm satisfied with my purchase of this aftermarket v10-compatible power head.. I'll update my review should the thing disappoint me in the smallest way. Find an aftermarket powerhead that suits your sense of usefulness and give it a try!

Since my DYSON cleaner head is broken, I bought a lot of replacement heads on Amazon to try, including the original ones. I must say, if your home is not all carpeted and you don’t have long-haired dogs, this one is really useful. Great affordable alternative...Because I bought DYSON's new cleaner head at the same time, I have to compare DYSON which is really better. But this one is also really good! Considering the price, I am willing to give it five stars! It's really good quality~ !Great cleaning effect on carpets too!

This thing worked for about 30 days. Just long enough that it can’t be returned. Motor seems shorted since the vacuum won’t run when it’s attached.
