Great item dose what it say it dose

These scissors are too blunt so they do not work well with cutting open plastic packaging or even herbs.

If you occasionally need a pair of genuinely Heavy-Duty kitchen scissors, but can't justify the price, at just over £6 these are exactly what you're looking for. They meet the essential criteria of being just good enough to be Fit-for-Purpose without attempting to be overengineered and expensive. I also love the simple elegance of the design, with nowhere for bits of food to get trapped, and being stainless steel it's just a matter of dropping them into the dishwasher.There's no bespoke hanging loop (although with the safety catch closed, the handles do for a loop which could be used to hang them up). They're also small enough to fit into the scissors hole of my knife block, where they'll always be ready to hand.

Ok for what you pay, but cutting edge could have been ground better.

This started out really good but the springing mechanism stopped working after only 2 months. I am very disappointed. I did put rubber bands on the handles to stop them from slipping in my hands. I had high hopes. I had to return to ordinary scissors.

The media could not be loaded.  These scissors are spring-loaded and spring themselves open automatically, a bit like garden secateurs. I wanted these scissors as cutting with regular scissors for a long time can cause repetitive strain tendon pain to surface. But because these scissors have a full-handle grip and spring open automatically, the only force needed is to squeeze them shut which is a lot easier on your tendons.The blades are pretty sharp (though not as sharp as secateurs) they do cut through most things with ease. There's a small latch on the handles to keep them closed to store safely.These scissors were a lot bigger/chunkier than I expected them to be, but it isn't really an issue. The main issue is that they were very stiff when I received them and would get stuck every time I closed them. I oiled them and this has mostly resolved it although I still feel a little resistance/stiffness as I'm closing them - at least they will spring back open now so they are functional.

The media could not be loaded.  The kitchen scissor is made up of heavy duty steel which you can also feel by it's weight.The blades are sharp and easily cut through chicken and meat. I specially got if got cutting whole chicken which is in general tough and tiring job. This scissor makes this little bit easier. I still had to use knife to cut the beast of chicken and I couldn't accomplish the job with just this scissor. Same was the case for fish.The handles designed to enable you to apply more force to easily cut tough items.The scissor rebound when left because of the inbuilt spring that reduces the effort in one way. When not in use the scissors are locked by a hook which is thin and sharp which is not great.Easy to clean by as well as in a dishwasher. Very useful tool for the kitchen.

This looks good and feels comfortable in the hand but does feel heavy.Nice and sharp so works well.
