It works
Nothing much here. It does what its supposed to do. I use a 1000ml glass beaker. No issues. Would be nice to come with a few more rods but the price is cheap so no complaints. It can handle some thicker substances.

Laboratory Use - It works
The stir plate is very lightweight and feels a bit flimsy but it works well. We're using it to stir water samples in 400mL beakers while titrating with buret for chloride and other. Pulls a solid vortex on 100mL sample near the lowest setting but can be dialed down to a slow gentle stir or ramped up to a sloshing mess.Only real complaint is there is no off switch. Turned all the way down it still stirs at turtle speed. We plugged ours into a power strip so we have a way to power completely off. Also noticed the 9V power plug doesn't fit well into the socket on back of stir plate. But it makes contact and works without problem. Also noticed the power LED is wired in line with the stir speed control. So when you stir at low speed the LED is dim. High speed the LED gets very bright. Indicates very low-level circuitry. Low price and works.

It’s perfect
Works perfectly. Thanks so much! 👍

Inexpensive and very functional. You can't go wrong.
I can't believe how inexpensive this is. I avoided buying a standalone magnetic stirrer because they used to be so expensive. It was more economical to just buy a cheap hotplate/magnetic stirrer combo. But this one is cheaper than the ones I made myself. Despite being cheap, it works great. It's very nicely balanced and is incredibly quiet, even at full RPM. The internal magnet is powerful and works well with small, medium, and large stir bars. The speed control has a good gradient and I like how the power indicator LED dims and brightens depending on the selected speed. It's compact and seems sturdy enough.Good stuff (:To the manufacturer: As quiet and compact as it is, I'll probably use it in some of my upcoming YouTube videos. Let me know If you don't want your brand name in videos and I'll put a piece of tape over the logo.

Disappointing performance and durability
Having used this product a couple of times a month for a couple of years, I cannot recommend it. Here's why:1. The aluminum top plate scratches very easily2. There is no indication of the physical center of the plate, forcing users to move the container whose contents are to be stirred around, looking for the stir bar to stick to the magnet in the rough center of the container. I've been misaligned more times than I'd like to the point of the beaker being stirred getting knocked over from the "snap" to the magnetic center once stirring starts (see next point)3. The stir bar never starts moving when the unit is turned on; it must be turned to a sufficiently high speed for the stir bar to "catch", then the speed can be turned down to something usable (until it will eventually stall). The sudden start has caused container contents to be splashed out more than once.4. The power jack is very low quality, forcing users to firmly push the plug into the unit, sometimes a few times, until it finally stays put.5. This is comparatively loud (I can hear the motor very easily)I decided to purchase a model from a different manufacturer, and the difference is night and day. ALL of the issues I cited above are non-issues on the competitor. The price difference was extremely small, as well, so the competing unit is a complete no brainer.
