Packaging and delivery -It was delivered fast and in perfect shape. The box was small and the contents and instructions all arrived fine.Product -This is an easy to use electronic board that is very versatile and can be coded many different ways. It can be integrated with other coding tools and on many platforms.The LED display and all parts work fine.The instructions are easy to follow for a beginner to learn to code with it.Durability -I have been using it for nearly a year and all is well. There is not much to break so I expect it to keep working for years.If you or your children want to learn to code with something fun and inexpensive, start with this. There are many other things to move up to and to integrate this into once you get the basics down.IMO this device is the best "Bang for your Buck" to learn to code. I would be shocked if someone could show me something that is more versatile and can do more for less than $20. Get it for your kids...They will all be coding so give the a head start.

I read other reviews that stated this product came in a bag. I ordered two cards and each came in the box pictured with batteries, a battery box, a USB cable, instructions, and the Microbit. If these were a present wrapping them would not have been a problem at all.I have only had a couple of hours to play with the card and I'm having a blast. This is a great way to learn a new language with tangible results. I'm not a programmer but I am in computers, using this to expand my toolset has been a lot of fun so far. I have really enjoyed learning micropython this way.I bought 2 cards as I already mentioned. The second I gave to my 11 year old. He has not put it down since I gave it to him. He has been online coding various projects with gusto. He even managed to debug a script I had written but didn't have time to fix, and made it work as expected. His only complaints are that the Chromebook has been using does not have a large enough display and that his fingers are tired from typing and mousing.We don't have any accessories yet, but I can see us purchasing a great many as we explore more projects together. $40 well spent, but I think we will both be in trouble with my wife if we don't get this under control. I'm having as much fun with him as I am with playing around with the microbit.

I bought this for my stepson since this year in school he showed some interest in how electricity works with little miscellaneous electrical parts and some batteries he got from school. I was looking for something not so high level or advanced such as an Arduino Raspberry Pi which are very much fully computerized and ARM based CPUs to boot. I was looking for something simpler for him to start out with. Something similar to my old Parallax Propeller I had bought for myself years ago when he was still a toddler. This, though, compared to the Parallax is much more advanced for the money. Comes with more options than what the Parallax came with out of the box making this thing very promising. It has a series of sensors such as a gyrometer, and other features such as a bluetooth radio. There are other cool things, but I like the fact that it's also easy to program in a few different ways from what I've seen. If you have a very curious child who's into electronics and computing, for the price, I highly recommend this.

I was looking for an earlier version (v1), but this one ended up being version 2.

Everything about this board is awesome. The construction feels great. The number of on-board accessories is awesome. The ease of programming is fantastic. The online editor for this board is actually pretty good. Writing your program to the board is also quick and easy.They've really eliminated all the barriers to entry! Yet programming for this device is really fun!

This is amazing programming kit with so many features embedded. It can guarantee hours of fun for you and your kids. It is good tool to inspire them for future career in electronics and software development. Everything is made straightforward including the flashing of the chip from web application. The programming could be done in blocks or Python. The main microcontroller is basic Cortex 32bit which is very powerful as compared to 8 or 16 bits microcontrollers still on the market. And with 64 MB memory you can create very serious applications. It is unbelievable how many chips you can get for this low price - Bluetooth, accelometer, compass. My plan is to extend microbit with external daughter boards and to buy a second microbit for exchange of data over Bluetooth.

Worth every penny. 9 year old is hooked up to this and best screen time while coding programs for this
