Q: Will it work on the bolt action 22?

I mounted this on my grandson’s Rascal, and found that 80% of the time the extracted spent case would ding the pic rail and deposit the case back in the breech! My gunsmith offered 2 options... 1) radius out more metal to allow the casings to clear the pic rail. 2) cut off back end of the rail leaving a sufficiently long 2-screw mount for the micro red dot I wanted to use. The second option worked great.

The rail is designed for a optic not a sight. But you can purchase a Williams (or other brand) peep sight with picanney attachment that will work.
