I purchased this as a Christmas gift from my son to his dad, for when we go camping and can't keep a match or traditional lighter lit. Its a very nice looking, solid feeling Lighter. It worked out of the box and didn't need to be charged first. It came with a charger, but any micro USB will work. The best part? No lighter fluid mess and no smell. The plasma worked like a charm and lit a candle immediately. Here's an interesting note...my younger kids complained of a ringing sound when we used it. They weren't even paying attention to what we were doing, my youngest (10) clasped his hands over his ears and asked us to stop. A similar response from my teen and 25 year old, but to a lesser degree. The older adults in the house couldn't hear or detect any noise, so I can only surmise the lighter emits a frequency that younger people pick up on.Its a very nice lighter though. I'm not sure what to make of the noise, but we're keeping the lighter...getting rid of the kid (kidding!)

Works great. Does not blow out in windy conditions. If it is cold out, make sure to keep in a warm pocket. Batter will drain or freeze if left in cold temps. I use this when I'm ice fishing and have had no issues as long as I keep it warm.

I like it .solid works for me. But all the young ears say they hear a sharp sound that is not pleasing .so they dont want as giftfor packs I would like a larger arc surface it is slick ..Dont know why it has a noise to much rock and roll for these 59 old ears

I bought one of these for my girlfriend based on favorable reviews. It was DOA and won't work at all. It does light up when plugged in. I will try to return to Amazon. I would be leery of buying one.

this lighter is dope. I bought this for my fiancé for Christmas and I think he’s going to love it. The packaging is sheik and it works very well. It’s cool it comes with a charger too. Other lighters that are the same concept don’t look as good as this one! I love it!

It works great if it’s kept charging, but it only holds a charge for 2 weeks at best. So even if it’s not used at all the battery drains and when one needs it, it’s completely dead. Not at all what I expected.I’m extremely disappointed in its performance and would recommend to anyone considering buying it to look elsewhere.

So far I've tested it on starting a camp fire, lighting a candle and burning insence.Nice design but.Will the bottom switch wear out if I have to use it as a EDC?
