This book was easy to read and quite simple, not many twists and turns, but dark. ! It is spicy, and the H is j/p 💯. Good read!

When I read the Synopsis for this one I wasn't super excited about it, I just wanted to read it to get to book four - Little Bird which sounds right up my street.But guess what - I could not have been more wrong because I loved this story.It's kind of a second chance romance with a side of stalking / kidnapping on the side.Kostya & Anastasia were best friends when they were young. Ana is a mafia princess and Kostya is one of her father's foot soldiers' sons. The kind Kostya has to leave her though because he's been marked by Ana's father to become an underground fighter.10 years later Ana never got over Kostya and is now to be married off in an arranged marriage.Kostya is now called Ruin - a monster of a man who kills people in the ring and shows no remorse, no sympathy and no compassion. But he's thought about Ana every day he's been gone and can't bear it when he hears the news about her upcoming wedding and sets about making Ana his for good.I LOVED this story - it's a fun read full of mafia madness, she's mine, think about her and you die vibes.

I do love these stories.Ballerina and her lost love ❤️There were a few twists.There were plenty of spicy moments.And it was good to see the “twins” from desolation

Loved this book, so entertaining but also so heartbreaking. The story behind the characters, or their beginning is one of such sadness. and their journey back to each other is slow and complicated. But Kostya and Anastasia are perfect for each other, and the author did a fantastic job bringing the the characters to life and bringing out their inner most thoughts and demons. A really great book overall, but so emotional.

It had the violence that comes with mafia romances, the possessiveness of the MMC for the FMC that we all love, and the sexual tension/spice that I was hoping for.Anastasia is the mafia princess that is protected by everyone around her and has the innocence that those around her lack, including her childhood best friend who sees all the darkness that the Bratva force onto people. Especially when he is taken away from her, beaten, and forced into the underground fighting.Skip forward 10 years and much has changed except that love that Ana has for Kostya, and the possessive need Kostya has to claim Ana and to protect her. Kostya is 100% one of my new favourite book boyfriends! His alpha maleness and disregard for anyone and anything but Ana had me swooning, even with that stalking aspect. He is the monster and villain that we will all immediately love!Anastasia comes across as so innocent and oblivious of what happens around her at times, but there are moments when she stands up for herself and times she tries to protect Kostya. She fell for the monster inside of him just like the rest of us and I do not blame her one bit! The spicy moments between these two were intense and I am here for it! They were dirty and hot and I just wish we had more of it!!!Looking forward to the next book in this series after reading that final chapter!!!

I love them soooo much 😍🥰❤️❤️‍🔥 it's a great addition to the series. I wasn't sure about Ruin as I thought this was going to be Dimitris's book, but after seeing the sneak peek of the next book, I understand why, hahaI enjoyed their relationship from both the past, with them being teenagers and then the jump to 10 years later. *****SPOILERS***** I was so happy when Ruin killed Ivan!! Got what he deserved for sure. This book also had a nice twist with Ana's parents and definitely didn't see her dad being the villain he ended up being at the start of the book. The only thing this book is missing (if it was brought up, I missed it) was seeing Arlo and Galina again. We saw Nikolai and Dimitri, but not Arlo - oh well, he is retired I guess right? So maybe thats why.I can't wait to start the next book...here we goooo

Holy 💩 this was a good book.I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for review (thank you @jenikasnow ) and it went above my expectations.I've read mafia romances before, including ones about the bratva so I went in expecting it to be dark and sexy but this book was BEYOND. 🥵Fair warning, there is lots of graphic violence.I read this in one sitting, and was completely sucked in from the first chapter. Plus there was a great plot twist that I did not see coming. 🤯I don't hand out five stars easily, but this earned it!🔥🔥🔥🔥⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐And can we just take minute appreciate this quote?"When I fell for you, the entire world cracked open from the impact." 😍

I liked Anastasia and Kostya, they worked so well together. The story was really good and I loved everything about it.

This is a second chance romance between a underground fighter and a bratva princess. This a dark mafia romance and i love it better then the reckless heir. Kostya is way messed up than Nikolai and i living for it.

Kostya and Ana have a deep friendship even though they really shouldn’t. She’s the Pakhans daughter and he’s the son of one his men, but they’ve basically grown up together and are as close as they can be. Then one day Kostya is told he’ll be leaving and the two are separated. Ana doesn’t even get to say goodbye just wakes up to find a locket he’s left her.Ten years pass and she still thinks about him, and unbeknownst to her he watches her consistently. He doesn’t make a move till her father decides to marry her off .There’s a twist that I didn’t see coming, I knew the character would have a part to play but I legit guessed wrong at just what it would be.I’ll be honest, Ana, is not my favorite FMC. I don’t hate her or even think there is really anything wrong with her, I just couldn’t connect to her. If I had to pin down one thing that put me off it was just how naive she was about the world she lives in. She makes a very silly error of judgement by going to visit the man her father wishes her to marry. Once she’s with Kostya I warmed up to her a little more.Almost all of my highlights are Kostya moments. The way he describes Ana, all throughout the book is completely swoon worthy.“There once was a girl I knew with hair the color of a raven’s wings, eyes the shade of warm whiskey, and freckles across the bridge of her nose that I’d count and instantly feel calm.”I would like to be described in such vivid detail, please and thank you. The amount of praise this man bestows upon Ana, is wonderful.I’m 1000% ready for the next couple though!
