Ultimate Book of Card Games: The Comprehensive Guide to More than 350 Games

Spent a weekend in a Getaway tiny house in 2020 that had this book on the shelf, and I loved it, but forgot to write down the title or author, and have been looking for it ever since. Tons of games for one player to multiplayer, well explained, with some diagrams. Found the title/author by accident while surfing the internet for something else, but so glad I did and delighted it was still available!

I like cards, and I like uuuhhh... board games, so this book has been very useful for me.When in doubt, whip this thing out and have a deck of cards on standby, and you have enough to never get bored.

Love the variety of card games available. It gives a little blurp on the history of the card game which I find very interesting. It also, introduces and explains vocabulary associated with card games including a glossary. The card games are labeled easy, mid, and hard which is nice. However, some of the directions are a bit confusing or are not explained with clarity.

Pay attention to the pix already posted by others! This is a VERY small book with EXTREMELY tiny font! You will need reading glasses, a bright light and a magnifying glass to read this thing! It's adorable, and has lots of games, but darn if I can read that tiny print! We were specifically looking for Canasta - and it's in here! Very easy to understand the rules. And all the terms are explained in the back of the book. I would have given this 5 stars based on the content, but knocked off two stars because of the tiny format.

The set up of the various names of card games are easy to find by using the index. The writing is a little small. The card game I was looking for, was clear and easily understood.

I like the way the book is divided into categories, but the 'easy' games l have tried so far have not worked and l don't feel the descriptions are complete. Hard to understand.

This book is very conveniently split in to sections based on number of players which is very handy.The instructions are very clear and the accompanying diagrams makes the instructions easy to understand.The instructions give you a good feel for the games before playing, which makes it easier to avoid games you don't think you would like.We particularly enjoyed the solitaire section, as it gives you odds of succeeding with each game.

Great explanation of card games. Nicely presented in a very good study book bind. A present and valued a lot.
