Simple yet well done
This book is simple and easy to read yet full of great lessons. My biggest challenge in improving my photography is to slow down and think about what I want the image to say. Mary Konczyk does a great job of simplifying this process so that I can better succeed in my images. There are lots of books out there that cover this but this short, simple book is one of the more helpful ones.

Well done and understandable.
Her descriptions and definitions are easily understood and accurate. Knowing how to"see" your image while taking it can save enormous amounts of time and frustration.

Delightful, Conversational, Helpful
Mary Konczyk has put together the kind of photography book that most people need. A delightful, conversational book that teaches you by way of explanation and example how to take better photographs by being mindful of basic artistic principles. Rather than dumping a bunch of forgettable technical details about F-stops, focal lengths, and expensive lens choices which would bewilder and bore the average photographer, this book talks about compositional structure, color, values, and other simple to grasp concepts that will actually improve your photography with your current equipment, whether that is an expensive set-up or a camera phone. Easy to read and handy to have when you go out to take pictures. Recommended.

Overpriced "compostion" bla bla bla.
If you already have information on composition do not buy this book. Besides it is over priced for what you get. Most of the photos are poorly printed and look more like paintings than photos.

Very insightful
This book is easy to read and covers concepts that are very helpful and that I had not previously applied to my photos. I will certainly apply them here on out.
