Great dough
My daughter wanted this dough because she used it at school and loved how soft it was. I can only comment on the dough and not the other parts of the kit. She loves the dough because it is soft and pliable. She mostly just likes to smush it in her hands but it seems to hold up really well. The colors are nice and vibrant but does not stain the hands. Hopefully the softness stays around long enough to make it worth the money. She’s only had the dough for a couple weeks so we’ll see how it is in a month or so.

Note: This is the clay *only.*
I really like this product. My students enjoyed it, easily learned by using it and their imaginations are definitely sparked. Give it a try.A few words of caution: 1. This kit contains the clay only.2. It can be difficult for students to learn why the white non-conductive clay must be reserved for specific “jobs” only.3. Students should have built a circuit before using this product so they can understand the clay, how to use it and how it works. Otherwise they may have limited benefit from using a cute and valuable product. (BTW: When I suggest “building a circuit” I’m not suggesting circuits that “snap” together.)

Family fun
After playing with a similar set at a STEM day I had to get these for my daughter. Lots of different things to do and has been fun for my 6 and 9 year olds as well as some 30 somethings. Highly recommend for a screen alternative “game” that will make you use your brain.

Underwhelmed. Basic kit very limited; concept itself not great
My 10 yo son received the basic kit as a birthday gift. We were underwhelmed. I'm sure if I went back and read the product description very carefully I'd see that they didn't claim to include the insulating dough. However, without it it's really pretty hard to make much.So please understand what you're getting:Half a dozen large LEDs, a battery case, and a perfectly ordinary can of Play-Doh.Yes, you can make the insulating dough yourself, but if I was going to do that I probably wouldn't have bothered with the rest of the kit. Just buy a cheap box of LEDs and a battery.Really, in retrospect it's not that great of a concept. You can't create a permanent model, and even if you have the insulating dough where you can place your lights is very limited. If your kid is brand new to the idea of circuits this might teach and entertain for a while. But if they want to make something they can keep, there are other non soldering solutions to explore, like copper tape and "paper" circuits.

Really fun for kids to make. My 6 year old loved doing this science experiment. worked perfectly.

It works ok
The playdough came kind of dry and the circuit did not work so well at the beginning. Then we added some salt and water to the blue playdough and now it works great!
