Like many others, I reused the button pad from the old key fob, but now it looks great and all buttons work again. Old key fit in the new housing. Happy with the replacement. You have to put a lot of pressure to close it but all good after.

These worked for us but, might not work for everyone. We had to have help to be able to use them. Once we got them to work, they are working out well.

This replacement shell case for my Ford Explorer smart key fob is amazing! It saved me a couple hundred dollars by not having to go to the dealership for a replacement fob. So easy to set up. This is just the shell and buttons. You need to carefully take the motherboard out of your old fob and place it into the new fob case with of course a new battery. I did find the process of snapping the case back together slightly difficult. Once together it looked great. You will also need to bring the keys in to get it cut if you plan on using the new one. The old key does fit into the new case but not perfect. Definitely doable until the new key is cut. Impressed on the quality of this case for the price. Definitely worth the purchase!

This is my second time purchasing this type of replacement case for my 2012 Explorer keys. They work for a while but the old ones have a failure point where the little foil contact circles fall off the rubber key surface over time. It looks like they have added a very thin clear acetone sheet to the button circles so when you press each button you are moving the whole sheet and not each individual circle. I don't know if this will be an improved product or just another point of failure in a year or so. Hopefully this is the solution we're looking for so these key cases last a lot longer than the previous version.

Absolute junk, luckily all I needed were the buttons as the little caps on the back of my original were longer staying in place. First I tried to swap the circuit board over and used my existing back part, no luck as they didn't fit together. Next I figured I would use the entire fob and swap the board, well that didn't work as the case itself would not even stay closed nor would the original key fit in the back. Okay I figured I would pretty up my existing fob with new buttons and the chrome bezel... that bezel only stays in place on that fob. Finally function over form took priority and I swapped just the new buttons into the old fob. One side note, the pictures show a notch for the emblem, mine did not come with a notch. Kind of upset I paid a little more than the cheapest fobs to avoid many of the issues described based on positive reviews just to have been bait and switched with the same awful fob I was attempting to avoid.

2012 ford explorer, feels like a brand new car key it was a perfect fit , dont leave any peices out put the plastic with the contact dots over the old dots it feels great and is super responsive

My lock button stop working on the original fob. Very easy swap and it looks great. The original key fits a little snug but it works. Not sure what the other reviewers went through but I highly recommend this shell.

This is a great replacement fob for my 2015 Ford taurus. It was a little hard to snap it back together but it fits it perfect. NOTE: to those who have questions, its just a shell with rubber buttons and replacement metal plates for each button that you will receive. No hardware or computer components are included.

This fob is excellent ! I used the new one with my existing circuit board.... and it works so perfect! I ordered another one for my spare.
