Marvel Dice Throne 4-Hero Box with Scarlet Witch, Thor, Loki & Spider-Man - 2-4 Player Competitive Dice Game, Black

I heard about Dice Throne late (not until 2023). I’m one of those “aspiring” board/card game people. I like the idea of getting into games, but don’t have the time (or local friends, or desire to meet people at a game shop) to play them and discover new ones. I think I saw this while walking around the Mall of America, but decided not to buy it. Mostly so I didn’t have to lug it around for the rest of the day of shopping. After I saw a few videos of it being played, I had to order it. It looked simple, fun, yet strategic. Like PVP Yahtzee! I’ve had fun the two matches I’ve been able to get my friends to play so far. The build quality is very good. These boards feel like they’ll last forever. The cards feel standard, not cheap. Dice aren’t special but they work and feel good. Tokens are cardboard punch-outs that feel sturdy. Package design is A+ as each character gets their own tray. Trays are plastic, but the black base is very strong and the clear cover isn’t flimsy. The boards fold up so that cool art of each character is displayed without opening the tray. Under the board, there is room for the character’s cards, dice and character-specific tokens. My only gripe would be that there’s sometimes not quite enough space to pack everything under the board. After getting this Marvel set, I’m already planning to get both Season 1 &2 Battle Chests.

A unique fun game w/stunning quality pieces & packaging. The artwork & over all design of this game is superior to any board game I've ever played. And I'm old. The value for the money is excellent. There is a learning curve but it's worth it to fumble through until you know the basics. Getting a new character is like getting a brand new game. Once you understand the rules, match ups can go quick. 45 minutes is average. We thought a few "new vs older" character matchups would be unbalanced but- we were happily wrong. I love how well balanced all the characters are. It's a stunning achievement considering all the variables involved. My son and I have a hard time playing games because we argue over rules. But w/DT, each character comes with a detail card, including a list of frequently asked questions. The rules are clear. The cards use precise language so there is very little room for argument. The character vs. character model keeps competition fun. We keep little notes w/each character to add details about past match ups. With so many characters to play, the possibilities are endless. This was already a very smart game, but adding marvel characters was a stroke of genius. Thank you to the creators of this game! Can't wait to buy whatever comes next.

Such a great game. Everything came as it should. Already had a lot of fun playing. It is easy to learn and to start having fun, but at the same time, you can get very competitive once you understand characters well and can plan strategies.

Dice Throne is my new favorite TT game! My wife and I bought this because it’s Marvel and we knew it’d be a good introduction to Dice Throne. We plan on buying the original characters of DT too but this was a great set for us to learn the game with some familiar faces. The game itself is easy to learn and very fast paced once you and other players get the hang of it. No two games of DT are alike which makes it’s replayability practically endless. Highly recommend!

This game is a LOT of fun! But it is not an easy game to learn. On top of knowing how to play Yahtzee (which is the chance element in this game), this is a very high-strategy game. There are many things at play on any given player’s move-phase, and you need to be very very VERY familiar with your chosen character’s powers and capabilities to be able to enjoy playing the game. I think once I’ve played the game 10 times with the same character, I would start to enjoy playing the game, which points out the challenge of finding a friend/family member who is a glutton for punishment, enough to go through the familiarization of a particular character to finally get to the point of enjoying the game. I’ve played my character 3 times now and am still interested to play again…but I think my wife and boys may be feeling something different…UNO anyone?

The game itself is so much fun! Just know that when you buy this, you might get the old leaflets for Thor and Spiderman before the updates. But you can download a pdf of the new sheets.

Finally received the long-awaited Dice Throne – and it’s incredible! The components are top-notch, everything is well-designed and feels premium. Even the fresh print smell adds to the experience. Can’t wait to actually play – expecting even more fun!

Fun game I recommend it

This is a great set of 4 characters. They each play really uniquely, but are well balanced. Loki is especially fun to play with his bag of tricks and never underestimate the power of Thor's hammer. Dice throne is a great game that is easy to learn. You can adjust play time by starting with higher or lower health. Our family finds around 35 to be perfect for our 2-3 player games.
