Variety Gourmet Saltwater Taffy (Assorted, 2 LB)

Bought these for my mom who loves salt water taffy. We were both Very happy with these.Love the bulk 5lb option. Came with a lot of pieces of candy. Perfect small snack size for a sugar craving. Each candy was individually wrapped. They arrived in perfect condition. Very soft and very very chewy. Tasted very fresh to me.This was a variety pack so it had different flavors. No idea what flavor til you ate it. Candy is two tone or three tone. While it’s a variety there are a lot of the same flavors. Love that each piece was individually wrapped and it was easy to open. All I had to do was untwist sides and open.If you like salt water taffy I would say this is great. Pieces are not very large but they have a great overall taste. Not hard at all - very soft.

I have something of an iron stomach. I could dig out a three month old half-eaten double cheeseburger from under the seat of my car, use a chisel to break that rock into bite sized pieces, and then wash those down with milk that's about four days past the expiration date and never look back on this with any digestive discomfort or questioning of my life choices.But these... these candies... were made in a special place in Hell. The arrive nicely packaged and pretty and pastel and for people like me who are trying to curb the sugar in their lives, they seem like perfectly wonderful little ventures into Wonka's factory. It is a lie. A deception of the highest and most sinister kind. You eat one, two, and before long a handful...And then it happens... A little innocent toot here, a whistler there, and then, cramps to rival that final scene from Braveheart where they disemboweled Mr. Wallace while he fought every moment not to let out a scream of agony. But you will. You will moan, you will twist and contort into unnatural positions that will make you consider whether or not you have a future in a sideshow. And before long, you'll know that you can wait no longer. The rest of your night is best spent cautiously perched upon your porcelain throne because you never know if that forty-seven second fart rippling the water below you will end with a violent outburst that borders on being classified by the the UN as a war crime. You'll get no rest, because you'll be afraid to sleep.And then you'll wake up the next day, confused, unsure if it was really these pretty little candies that did it to you. You'll review the entire previous day's menu and think, "Maybe it was that Chinese stir fry?" or "Maybe those chicken nuggets I sneaked when nobody was looking were a little bit off?" So you'll do it again on day two, just to be sure. And then it will start again, one inconsequential little toot, and you'll know, these things need to either go straight into the trash or into the candy dish at work that sits on the desk of that prick you just can't stand working for.

They came very quickly, however they tend to almost all taste the same with small variances

My husband is addicted to these, i have to keep ordering them lol.

I got this taffy mainly because my girlfriend loves taffy, and we have fun figuring out the flavors together etc. It was such a big ba for not too much money, and the array of flavors was impressive. Unfortunately these have soy in them, which I am allergic to, and therefore was unable to share these with my girlfriend. She tells me that although it's not bad, it's not great. She says it's too soft, for one thing, she likes a chewier taffy, and she says the flavors are very subtle or non-existent. I will not be buying this again.

I would like to start with saying the candy itself is absolutely delicious, as it's always been. I've purchased these bags before some years ago and wanted to give it another go and share with friends and family.However when I had finally received my order, all but a handful of the candies were completely melted together. This is a problem I never had in the past so was willing to work around it, but then when I got to sorting them out I discovered the bag wasn't really an equal mix of variety. What could be considered the "reject" flavors, such as Black Liquorice (I assume is the flavor), peppermint and Cinnamon, take up almost exactly half of the bag, leaving only small handfuls of the other, more desirable flavors. Of course preference is entirely opinion based, but the lack of an evenly distributed variety is what's upsetting.The bag they came in was also filthy, but I can only assume it's due to the melting candies and all the wax wrap rubbing off on the bag itself, however when I got the product in the past the bag was never in any condition like this.All in all, I would still absolutely recommend this product if you enjoy Saltwater Taffy. They produce very good quality candy and I will be purchasing more in the future. I'm just giving it 2 stars because, as unfortunate as it is, I probably just got an unlucky batch.
