Fastest HomeKit Thread Air Purifier!!
The media could not be loaded. Airversa AP2 is my favourite air purifier!I work from home and this air purifier is my saviour. I turn it on and it ensures my air is clean as it purifies my office/workout room.I have a Dyson TP7 and Smartmi P1 in other rooms and let me compare them all to this Airversa AP2.They all do pretty much the same thing, filter out the bad particulates in the air, such as dust, smoke, bacteria, mould/spores and viruses. All have HEPA 3 stage filtration and PM2.5 sensors but they don’t all work as well as you might think.Air filtration: all 3 devices work great in this area however I have found both the AP2 and the P1 work much faster at clearing the air, and are not as noisy as the TP7. The P1 and TP7 can also use its PM10 sensor for even more things like dust mites and pet-related allergens.Reminder these are not air conditioners nor are they really ‘fans’ despite them having fans to suck in and push out purified air (with the exception of the Dyson TP7)Applications - iOSAll have great apps, they show the statistics and allow you to see the level of particulate in the air. They can change the speed of the fan with levels 1-5 usually, But AP2 does this best with a ring light on the top of the unit that shows you it’s traffic light type air quality system, green being excellent air quality, and you guessed it, Red being bad air quality. The AP2 app also shows this ring so you can see it wherever you are in the house.P1 also has a version of this on its unit however it’s not as noticeable.TP7 app is Dysons main app and it’s great at showing you what each sensor means and also integrated outdoor data but it is cluttered in my opinion.Connectivity options -Wi-Fi or Thread?Thread wins for me, this is a new connection that can be used if you have a HomePod Mini or Apple TV 4K and the AP2 has thread built in. Why thread? It’s super fast! Watch the video of just how fast Siri turned my Airversa AP2 Air Purifier on! Instantly!AP2 and P1 are also natively HomeKit enabled, AP2 via thread and P1 via Wi-Fi.The TP7 and P1 both use Wi-Fi, however Dyson does not natively support HomeKit (I however use Homebridge to have mine in the Apple Home App)Wifi is great however it has much more interference and is not fast to respond to voice commands as suchCost - AP2 wins again. For all the Airversa can do, it’s the lowest cost Air Purifier coming in at around £160~ depending on Amazon discounts etc. Then comes Smartmi P1 at £180 (when I purchased it) but still great value if you can get it lower, they have a P2 out now.And in last is Dyson TP7 at a whopping £499. This is also a fan and comes with other great features that aren’t included in the AP2 or P1. But I would not buy it for air purification only.Overall thoughts.I think the company behind the Airversa AP2 had a few things in mind when making it.Affordability, Apple compatibility and Thread connectivity, being one of the first to market. But mostly just creating a great product that does everything it says on the box! Go check out the product page to find out more and it has 10% off at the time of writing this review. As you can tell I’m a fan of this Air purifier and am glad to have been able to compare it against others I own. I am also a HomeKit fan so that is why I wanted this Air Purifier to test its connection options to work best in my automations etcAP2 specific points I want to cover. It’s very quite and especially in night mode, I can barely hear it, albeit the fans are lower in night mode.It only detects PM2.5 and not PM10, that would be nicer as I have pollen allergies so that extra PM10 filtering would help greatly. Hence why Dyson TP7 is in my bedroom.Sleekpoint app is well laid out an updating the firmware was quick and easy. As previously mentioned it’s got the Air Quality LED ring showing the air quality and all settings from the top of the device can be controlled in app. Most advanced features are only available in Sleekpoint app and not in HomeKit, I hope with a future update we can get more control in HomeKit.The air output is clean and makes the room feel clear of anything in the air, the fans kick in on Auto as and when they need to clean away any particulates.HEPA H13 filters are only £29.99 so really affordable, compared to many others being over £50+I really can’t see the difference in H14 filters, although it support H14 too.If you are not in the Apple ecosystem this is not for you, it does not support Android, Alexa or Google voice assistants. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem I highly recommend this Air Purifier!

Airversa Purelle AP2 – Excellent HomeKit-Compatible Air Purifier
I recently purchased two Airversa Purelle AP2 air purifiers for my home, and I couldn't be more impressed. I was specifically looking for a HomeKit-compatible Thread air purifier, and this one checks all the boxes. Here's why I’m giving it 5 stars:Seamless Integration with HomeKit: I’ve used a variety of smart home devices, but finding an air purifier that integrates seamlessly with HomeKit was a huge win. Setting up these units was quick and easy. Once connected, I could easily control them via the Home app or through Siri, which is super convenient.Thread Connectivity: The Thread protocol offers more stable and faster connections compared to regular Wi-Fi, and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced. The purifiers respond instantly to commands without any delay or issues.Impressive Air Quality Performance: These units are rated for large rooms (up to 1,050 sq ft), and they've done a fantastic job in my open-plan living space. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the air quality. The air feels fresher, and it's comforting to know that it’s removing 99.97% of PM2.5 particles. I also appreciate the PM2.5 sensor display that shows me real-time air quality status.Quiet Operation: Despite their strong air-purifying capabilities, these units are very quiet, even on higher settings. I can have them running in the background while working or relaxing without being disturbed by noise.Smart Features: I love being able to set automated schedules or control the air purifiers remotely using the Home app. The app interface is intuitive, and the real-time updates on air quality are especially helpful.Reliable and Well-Made: The design is sleek and modern, and both units have been running flawlessly since I set them up. The build quality feels solid and premium. The Airversa Purelle AP2 has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s the perfect combination of smart functionality, powerful air purification, and user-friendly controls. Though it’s an investment, the performance and convenience it offers make it worth every penny. I highly recommend these air purifiers, especially if you’re looking for a HomeKit-compatible, Thread-based solution that works perfectly with your smart home setup.

Works perfectly with HomeKit automations!
We put this behind the tv to stop the dust collecting on the electrical equipment and to improve the overall air quality in the room, simple connection to HomeKit, easy automations let you set on/off/fan speed through the home app, however you will need to install the sleekpoint app if you want to see the precise ppm air quality numbers remotely, the home app only shows quality by words, eg excellent, good, bad, etc, you can’t see the ppm in home, but the sleekpoint app does not require your data to function and the ppm is visible on the top of the unit when not in sleep mode. Sleep mode is silent and there are zero lights, perfect for a bedroom! Super air filter for HomeKit integration, we love it!

The best homekit Air Purifier
I had a Sensibo air purifier which was ok. The problem I have with the Sensibo was the large size, cheap button layout and only 2 fan speeds. I had to get one replaced as the fan became excessively noisy. The in-app subscription model for seeing graphs put me off ! I heard a lot of nice things about Airversa - I was reluctant to purchase this - cancelling my order twice before taking a leap of faith. I didnt have much expectations for it. However I was totally wrong. The built quality is amazing and weighty - the interface on both the unit and app are fab. It is very effective and has a nice status numbers for the air quality. Perhaps what I appreciate most is just how quiet the unit is on a low setting - allowing me to comfortably place it next to my bed and sleep without any annoyances. Expensive YES - but it is one of those few products you buy and get a feel good factor you parted with your hard earned cash and got value for money !!
