Brother Standard Mat 12”x12”, CAMATSTD12, 12"X12" , White

The item arrived on time and in great condition. It was the correct mat for my machine, and I was able to complete my project.

They are super sticky! And work great! However…….. The cost is a bit pricey and while other machines may allow for using other mats, brother makes sure you can’t……and perhaps there is a reason, but that is like apple gluing their products shut so that you can’t work on them, sometimes we can’t afford a newer mat, and sometimes even though they have a built in pressure sensor…….the mats get cut through…..😕

The CAMATSTD12 Brother mat will not work with the Brother sdx125e Scan N Cut machine. And, I would have had to pay to send this mat back to Amazon, unless I mailed it from an authorized UPS full-service store. Be very careful when buying a standard 12x12 mat for your particular machine. I saw a bargain and ended up losing a lot of money. The standard tac mat for the Brother sdx125e has the replacement code CADXMATSTD12. The DX is the key to look for. I tried to cut out the interior grid of the mat and glue it over my old CADXMATSTD12 mat but when the autoblade did its test for depth, it saw the extra depth of the overlay as a thick material and cut through the glued mat! I understand the why, but it sure was a sick feeling when I realized what had happed. The machine is not very smart, just a machine. Live and learn!

Brother mats are nice and sticky when you first get them but they do tend to unsticky pretty quickly. However, there's a nice easy way of cleaning these mats without using baby wipes (because baby wipes leave fibers behind) get some totally awesome cleaner from the Dollar Tree, spray it on the mat & wipe with your hand then rinse well and let dry. They're like brand new each and every time.

Brother Mats are known for being less then so to speak, don't last long, stickiness issues, etc so cost vs quality is always a poor value, but that's a brother issue not a seller issue. The seller however did an awesome job of protecting the mats, shipped flat in a large box with lots of protection inside the box! I was extremely impressed by the packing! Previous mats have come loosely rolled with no protection just dropped in a box, or like the 12x 12 mays I've got from other sellers will come in a big bubble wrap envelope and the shipping carriers will bend them to make them fit in a mailbox ugh. No worries with that with this seller! Product deserves a 2-3 starts max but seller deserves 5+!!

I just tried to use this new mat for the first time in my Scan n Cut SDX225 machine...the machine is not recognizing the mat and will not load it. The machine's software is updated, I cleaned the scanner glass and it still will not load. :-{ Update/correction: After discussion with a representative at Brother, I learned that this mat would not load because it is not compatible with the SDX225 machine. I had to order the appropriate mat!

Funciona muy bien en mi cortadora. No tuve problemas para que la reconociera ni nada. La recomiendo altamente por si tu tapete ya tiene las orillas dobladas, con este la puedes sutituir sin problema alguno. Llegó en perfecto estado y justo a tiempo.

Genuine Brother mat. A bit more expensive than I have paid in the past. Seem hard to get hold of these days. Wish the delivery time was a little less. Happy with the purchase though
