I was experiencing pain and weakness in both my hands when fishing, walking the dog and even picking up full glasses of water. The weakness was mostly localized in my thumb (and my ability to pinch things). I knew I needed something that would be easy to use in a variety of ways to work on the grip strength specifically in my thumb and the way it interacts with my other fingers, and these rings have been perfect. By changing up how I hold them I have been able to restore a lot of strength and tactile precision in just a few weeks. I was concerned that most the of rings would be too easy to make any difference but in fact I haven't even touched the heaviest resistance ones yet, only the two lightest resistance. They are soft, there was no odor, they're easy to use and adapt, they'll suit a range of hand and grip strengthening needs, they're portable, they're incredible value for the money.

Awesome hand exercisers! I used these for rehabilitation after my rotator cuff surgery to rebuild strength in my hand and forearm. I made tremendous progress according to my physical therapist. I know some of this was my dedication to working on my strength but the rings were instrumental in helping me achieve my goals!

I bought these "donuts" to help improve my hand strength following an accident. They are great. Within 3 weeks I went from using the 10 and 20 pound donuts to the 50 and 60 pounders. They are very comfortable in my hand - average sized adult male - and easy to carry around. The fact that all 6 donuts come as a kit for less than $20 makes these a great buy. I will continue using them for the foreseeable future, even after I get my normal strength back. My only hope is that I can find another set in the 70, 80, and 90 pound range. Additional note: I showed these to my occupation therapist. She immediately bought a set to use in clinic with her other patients.

This device has six levels of squeeze resistance from 10 to 60 pounds in 10 pound increments. I think most people will not feel comfortable or be able to use more than the 10, 20 and perhaps 30 pound rings unless you're Arnold Schwarzenegger. Vive should skip the 60 pound ring and add a 5 pounder instead.

Previous to this purchase, we got another brand and it was smaller and weaker than depicted in the advert. I mention because of other reviews I've made. After that disappointment I did a bit of research and found "Vive Hand Strengthener Grip Ring (6 Pack)" on Amazon and that turned out to be what we wanted. Full sized, smooth surface, somewhat scales to 10lb-50lb without annoying stacking. If you Google for this product outside of Amazon, you'll find that they're from a legit medical supply company. I still bought them via Amazon because free delivery with Amazon Prime, if you don't have Prime, maybe order directly from ViveHealth.

I have not even tried the 50 or 60 lb. ones yet. The 10 was too easy so I moved up to the 20 and 30. I am 65 and have bad osteoarthritis in both hands (and many fingers) and my right wrist. I use the 20 and 30 for my left hand and the 30 for my right hand. Just started the 40 a few days ago and cannot even squeeze that with my left hand but I can with my right hand. I can do the other exercise where you put all your fingers inside the ring and flex outwards but I have extreme difficulty doing the one finger at a time squeeze. Thought I could do it with my right hand but that really hurts my wrist. Wish I would have known about these when my hands were in better shape. I would highly recommend these for people with healthy hands and for people like me to use caution. Many years ago a wonderful friend of my parents told me to "use it even if it hurts" and I still try to heed her advise. They were delivered in a timely manner and they were very reasonably priced. Had my hands been in the shape they were a few years ago I would have rated easy to use and comfort both 5 stars.

If you are training men they are fine, but they are all too large for my clients who are mostly wo.men,, Smaller rings are available and they are perfect for women and the same consistency and different strengths
