This Synology 10GbE it works in my Synology DS1525+, when you switch from 2.5GbE to 10GbE it changes the IP address, so to find the new address use the Synology Assistant and save the new address in your browser in FAVS or you can save both addresses (2.5GbE and 10GbE) in your FAVS or in a new TAB, also when you move to 10GbE you have to enter again your device name and password

Great upgrade for the Synology port. Super easy to install and has increased the speed of the data in and out.

I have a synology NAS. I move large amounts of data on a regular bases and the stock network port was becoming the bottle neck. This card solved that problem. It was super easy to install. Just a single screw. Because it is inside another device it is designed to be durable and last for years in its intended use. I have gotten streaming/transfer speed at the 10Gb mark. Price here was way cheaper than going through synology. Glad I made this upgrade

It’s a much improved performance compared to the 1Gbit Ethernet that the NAS had. I’m just using it with a 2.5GB Ethernet on my PC. Eventually, when I upgrade my system to 10GB, I will be able to using the full bandwidth of the 10GBE. In the mean time running at 2.5GBE is much faster than the old 1GBE.

I bought this at the same time as a new Router and haven’t had a chance to hookup/configure the router, but just installing this and using the original 1GbE ‘old’ one saw a good chunk of improvement with data transfer from my other systems to the NAS. (I installed this in a DS923+)… I originally looked at a 2.5GbE adapter they had available when I bought the NAS and I’m so glad that my finances didn’t allow me to get that card at the time since this one is 10GbE and with the new Router will be SO much faster with less latency.

Easy setup, just plug it in to the back of the device. It was not recognized after I powered-up the NAS following installation. So I rebooted the NAS. It all came up. Everything is working well. I'm ready to get some fast network action between computers and NAS.

As ever with Synology branded kit, it’s expensive, but it is genuinely plug and play. I just had to take the blanking plate off the back of my DS1522+ and the card slides right in. I’m only using 2.5gbps at the moment as that is what my motherboard has, but at some point I will get up to 10gbps.

Arrivato in confezione perfetta, scheda originale di espansione sul retro. La ho utilizzata sul mio NAS Synology DS-1522+ e attaccata con un cavo UTP 7 (basta un 6a) sul mio router Ubiquity a 10 Gigabit. Funziona benissimo. Il synology permette comunque di mantenere come backup le 4 porte LAN da 1 Gibait se questa avesse dei problemi. La scheda sta funzionando ormai da qualche mese senza alcun problema. Anche il montaggio è facile: basta aprire lo slot sul retro e inserire la scheda; entrando poi nel DSM ci sono tutte le opzioni di configurazione.

The upgrade process is extremely straightforward, shutdown and booting up your NAS takes longer time than actually installing this network unit. After the upgrade I have managed to get reliable 2.5G connection in my home network. Time Machine backups, working with Lightroom directly from NAS - has become much, much smoother. This upgrade is essential if you have SSDs in your NAS. The only drawback is the price.
