This thing works just like you would expect it to, aside from one strange quirk I encountered.
When I missed out of the first run of these I was supremely disappointed. I had no motivation to play Rock Band 4 if I couldn't use my real kit. So when it was announce that they were going to do another run I was overjoyed. When it finally showed up I snatched one up and waited impatiently for it to arrive. I wasn't disappointed. I plugged the adapter in and waited. The Pro-Midi brain came alive and within a few moments I was in Rock Band 4 playing the drums. Way out of practice of course, but still playing. No missed hits, no drops no weird roll locks, nothing my double hits that used to happen on the cymbals in Rock Band 3 cleared up a bunch as well. It worked perfectly. There was only one dislike and one unusual thing for me. My dislike is the high hat pedal is now converted into another kick pedal. I already have a double kick, I don't need my high hat pedal turned into one as well thank you. And the only unusual issue was when I was downloading songs (because I hadn't imported my 1000 song library in the Rock Band 4 when I found out Mad Catz wasn't making a drum adapter) while I was doing a roll on the high hat and a download complete notification popped up, the run just stopped, as did the actual cymbal sound in game. I can't really explain it better than that. The Toms and Snares work fine, just the High Hat as far as I was able to test. So if this is still in stock and you have been thinking about it to play your e-kit, go for it. It's excellent and you won't regret it, just unplug your high hat pedal if like me you actually use it while playing.

This thing works great, no lagbut the guide button light keeps flashing and won't cut off my ion drumrocker while plugged in. I had to put some electrical tape over itAlso, it's too expensive for and dongle

This adapter is a great expansion for my Rock Band playing
This adapter is a great expansion for my Rock Band playing. I plugged this into my Xbox One and it worked straight away. I have my Simmons SD5K drumset plugged into the Xbox 360 Midi Pro Adapter plugged into this Legacy Wired Adapter. The only problem I have noticed so far is that the Xbox button on my Midi Pro Adapter flashes the whole time.I don't give a perfect 5 star review because the adapter is very small and short. It feels like this shouldn't be a $30 product. I understand that part of this probably goes to special licensing to convert Xbox 360 to Xbox One, so I'm mostly okay with this cost.

You plug. You play. Works GREAT! End of Story.
Everything works great. You plug. You play. I own a set of Ion drums, and finally it works for Rock Band 4!! And even better, my bass pedal works great too. Before with the stock kit, the bass pedal wouldn't register quick double kicks, even tho it did no problem in Rock Band 1,2 and 3. I thought maybe it was a new feature in the game, but it was actually the stock kit itself. So it's like playing the old games all over again. The legacy wire is short yes, but I don't see how that's a problem, seeing how long the Ion plug is already... And yes I have the blinky problem too with the Ion module, but it doesn't phase me. I think it's my kit telling me, "Thank You."

Amazing!! Xbox One-S using my Roland E-Kit. Works perfectly!
OMG!!! Finally got mine in and it works perfectly with my Xbox One-S !! I attached my Midi from my Roland e-kit to the xbox 360 controller thing I ordered on Amazon as well ($29) into a USB extender (my kit is like 15' form my tv), into the PDP Legacy adapter, into my Xbox One. I turned the 360 controller switch all the way to the left (D I think it is or K), turned the volume knob thing on it all the way up and it works perfectly. I didn't have to change anything on my drum brain. I play pro mode and do most songs on Hard right now. No lag! Thank you so much PDP!!!! It's taken years to finally make this happen.

First one was defective. Second one has been working.
Finally got it to work! What a pain in the ass! Apparently, the Ion drums need a powered usb connection to work. I had to daisy chain a powered usb hub BEFORE the PDP adapter to make it work. So it's my Ion drums plugged into the powered usb hub, the output of the usb hub into the PDP adapter and the adapter plugged into the back of my Xbox One. That's the ONLY way I got this thing to work.NOPE!!! This thing IS a piece of crap. Just stopped working. Got it to connect once and now it won't connect again. Same connection that worked before. WTF?!?!UPDATE 1/5 - Ok, so the first one was defective. Got a replacement one and it's been working just fine.
