Great for hobbyists!
I used one of these chips to modify my 3DS XL to allow for USB C charging and they work great.

Definitely worth the price. Worked great for my fan (even upgraded from Micro-USB to USB-C)
Just needed 1 for a usb-charged portable fan. The old charging port was Micro-USB and this allowed me to not only fix the broken connection, but 'upgrade' to USB-C. I took the time to work the scoreline with the tip of my small knife until I made the score even deeper. This way, I was able to snap off two at a time, then repeat and separate the two so I had my one. Soldered up just fine, easy to work with, have had no issues since the repair, and now I have 9 more for future projects.

Good USB-C Board, but not ready for Power Delivery
Great little USB-C board! However, if you want to do a USB-C PD mod, this doesn't have the proper 5.1k ohm resistors. You can add one, but wiring up a surface mount resistor is a nightmare. So just make sure it's the right one for your use case!

Reasonable quality
I had no issues with these. I picked them up to replace micro USB ports on a couple things. I only really wanted them for power, so I can't speak to their ability to transmit data, but hooking up the +5v and GND lines works exactly as expected.

The items are as described. I am able to probe/access the pins of USB-C cables. No issues so far.

Perfect replacement
They work as intended if you have a small forward that needs a replacement there you go that's one way
