OXO Good Grips Jar Opener

Fantastic! Finally a safe, easy to use bottle opener that actually works. A godsend for those of us with arthritis or weak wrists. It doesn’t slip off the pad and accidentally injure you and takes little or no pressure to twist the top off. Thank you whoever designed it.

I LOVE this jar opener. I have arthritis really bad in my right hand and this jar opener is amazing. I don't have a grip anymore to hold onto jars or bottles and this opens with absolutely no struggles. The little grip mat that attaches to it, genius, you just put your jar or bottle on it and it keeps it from sliding, I drink Snapple and those are the hardest bottles to open and I have to always ask my husband to open for me. With this, I can do it myself with ease. It does cost a little more but is worth every penny. Little things like this are giving me some of my independence back which to me is great for my self esteem. Highly recommend. OXO - this was a great investment Thank you

Surprise me how easy was to open a jar! I have carpal tunnel on both hands so is hards to open jars this opener is easy smooth you don't have to do much effort to open jars anymore , great quality super fast vary stable and super safe

I am a senior and only used it 1 time -- and I was impressed -- easy to attach - handle was comfortable for small hands -at this moment the - not bulky - seems to fit on all the jars I have (although) just for test. For seniors who have lost strength (or companies that decided 'tighter is better') this does the job. As for long term review -- jury is out - but hoping for the best.

Typical OXO product. Works great. Well designed, easy to use. I've even seen my husband use it when he thought I wasn't looking. Is it more expensive? Yes, but it will work and last a lifetime.

As always, you (seniors especially)) can’t go wrongOXOn with OXO. There’s a bit of a learning curve but this is the best jar opener I’ve ever used. It’s a practical, no-nonsense device that belongs in every senior’s kitchen drawer. Buy one for yourself and send one to Granny.

I’ve tried countless others with mixed results. This gadget almost seems like magic. I have a pretty strong grip but for some reason many lids, especially small ones, defy my best attempts. It works on any size and requires minimal effort to work. Worth every penny.

Hey it works if you have a medium jar. Lets go pros 1. Build quality its well made should last a long time. I have had problems with rubber coming of on the grips on other manufacturers before. 2. Handle is comfortable and easy to grip the lids come of with little effort. 3. Price is ok 4. Its small and will fit in any jar. Cons: 1. This is a biggy. The size won’t open some jars like big pickle jars or small soda caps. It just is to small or not big enough to open them. Why? Why? Has not someone made something like this that fits all sizes. 2. The original packaging. Mine came in a plastic bag attached to a cardboard with a twist tie on it. Its ,like someone opened it ,did not like it ,put it in a plastic bag and attached the twist tie to it and sent it through Amazon. Boy I sure hope thats not what Amazons doing now. This dog bites. Ok ,so if you want to open a jar of mayo or medium pickles you will love this. That said if you advertise something that opens jars it should open all sizes including bulk. 3 stars.

Very good product/tool to open any container lid.

Simply the easiest jar/bottle opening tool I've ever used. My age-ravaged hands now struggle with jars, bottles etc. basically anything that you need to grip and twist was practically useless to me unless someone else was around to open it for me. That's all changed now due to the clever design. I just put the tool on top of the item to open, twist the handle and it automatically adjusts the grips to the correct size, then opens it. Doddle. I've had it for over a year and it's still working great so I'd say it's pretty good value considering the trouble it's saved me. It's mostly plastic with a soft plastic handle and what appear to be stainless steel grips (at least, there's no rust on the grips in over a year). It doesn't really get dirty so a quick wipe with a damp cloth is enough to clean it. I recommend. Opens tops approximately 30mm up to 95mm.
