Case Cutlery CA73932: Sod Buster Jr Red Syn

Love this knife. Some gapping on the back of the spine. But the blade is centered and sharp.

Made in Butler Pa. (incase you’re not a Case knife guy) My 1st carbon steel Sod Buster Jr. in red synthetic. Blade centered and smooth opening and closing as soon as I cleaned first before attempting. (read that from Case nerds 😊) Looking forward to years of use.

I have two other sod buster juniors and one large red sudbuster in carbon steel in addition to this one. I find that these synthetic delrin handled versions have a tighter lockup than the two jigged bone ones. Very nice pocket carry work knife -not perfect, but I didn't expect it to be.

Flawlessly done, very sharp and it's a carbon steel blade which I much prefer. Perfect knife to open mail and packages and the red color makes it easy to find.

It's a great looking little knife but there's definitely some quality issues that bother me. The blade is wobbly at the pivot and the frame pin there doesn't sit flush with the handle on either side. The blade isn't "new knife" sharp out of the box and the bevel is jagged and catching lint constantly. This was my first Case so I wasn't sure what to expect. Pretty disappointing when my cheaper chinese knives are built better than a USA made product. Guess you can't have too many letter openers.

The blade as you can see is ground completely to one side! This is the worst case knife I have ever bought! How did this get past quality control! Yes this will be going back!! I am very disappointed!!!

I have two of these in yellow with CV blades- now this red one in carbon steel. It’s a great tool, sharpens up super sharp -very nice-and was put together right.

Aside from handles being more burnt orange than red it's perfect. Great fit and finish, honed up razor sharp.
