I'm am super happy with this knife! Way cheaper than the branded one and the stainless steel option works great for me as I use it in a maritime environment 75% of the time. Yes, the scabbard is a bit tight, but if you use this as a neck knife like I do, you'll prefer the tight scabbard.

This knife feels Identicle to the Benchmade SOCP. It arrived a little dull but sharpened up quick, so not an issue. Sheath is good, once broke in a little, knife is drawn easier. Sheath clip seems robust. I bought this due to financial and health issues, I can neither justify nor afford the overpriced Benchmade version. Also the B.M. is just a small shiv of 440 stainless, not higher grade steel. You're just paying, between $120 to $180, for the name and "tacti-cool" factor for high speed, low drag want to be operators. I bought it due to neuropathy in my hands that makes drawing and opening a folder with any speed impossible. I can draw and it's ready to use and the ring helps retention. If you can't afford the B.M. SOCP, this is a great alternative, and you can buy 3 or 4 for one of the B.M.s.

This little peace of mind in excellent. Well made and easily concealable for EDC. It arrived sharp, but I honed it to razors edge. It has held up well through some arduous tasks just to test its strength. A must have.

Sharpened knife and filed sheath on the inside. Slids out of the sheath easily now.

Clip retention is too weak on the sheath, sheath is ill fitting. Knife itself is decent, but you’re better off buying the real thing from benchmade. You get what you pay for.

If you feel like modifying the sheath or making your own, then this is an excellent substitute for the much more expensive Benchmade version. The supplied sheath is fine, but it's tight. It can be filed or just make your own.

This is an awesome knife. Recommend sharpening.

Read the other reviews. The knife is unusable without modifying the sheath (the retention is way too tight causing the whole thing to come out of your pocket when trying to draw it). 5 minutes with a narrow file on the retention detent inside the sheath and it works just fine. Realistically this type of knife has one purpose which is self defense and to create distance and give you opportunity to transition to a firearm. Is it the same quality as the bench made SOCP that it’s a knock off of? Absolutely not. That being said, does this type of knife (which has one usage which is not daily utility) warrant a 100ish dollar price tag? Depends on who you are but I’d argue no. I own both the benchmade SOCP and now this knockoff. I’ll keep the benchmade for plain clothes work and put this on one of my work vests and now I won’t have to switch the benchmade back and forth anymore. My personal opinion, if you’re debating on spending the money for a true SOCP vs spending it on another piece of important kit, buy this knockoff and put the money saved towards the other kit, this piece of steel will make holes just as well. That being said, the benchmade SOCP is an awesome knife and if cost is not an issue then buy that instead (the retention on it too is a bit tight and could use some modification, no where near as bad as this one but its got similar problems when deploying when clipped to a pocket)
