Is it possible for the “blue stars” version to use a “cloud only” setting without the stars? Or is that only possible for the “cloud only” version?

I have the green stars and there are several settings including just a blue watery looking one.

How crippled is this thing if you don't install the app?

Using Google Home only: on/off, very limited color profile and Routine capable. If nothing more I'd use their app to refine colors and themes. Otherwise you lose a ton of refinements. If you're paranoid about their App then use a junk email account and uninstall after setting it up. Bottom line I'd really recommend using their App for set-up.

Is the brightness adjustable?

The cloud and laser brightness are both adjustable via the BlissHome App.

Can I have have multiple sky lites in one home with separate settings? One per each child to use.
